Funnily enough Fizzy I have a dentist appointment at 12.30 today
. I am hoping they can decide what to do with my wobbly front tooth.
I've been surprised that Matteo has not been on the show courts too- as you say, he' s the Queen's champion. Maybe not that surprised though- they have to put all the Brits somewhere I suppose
but maybe it's a good thing. Less pressure for now.
I think Sonego will relish the match against Fed- the only other time they have played was a first round at RG in 2019. A lot has happened since then- and Lorenzo knows he can push players like Djok. He has made a lot of fans.
Zverev and Felix should be a good one- it might be a bit like the Daniil/Cilic match- possibly look like one way traffic- and then end up going all the way.
The women's side- as has been the case so often in slams- is full of names no-one expected /has heard of/players who haven't done well for ages. Although I'm not a 'Brit supporter' necessarily, I do like what I've seen of Emma, and hope she does well. But I agee with Magi from Saturday- if she does continue- just let her carry on at her own pace- the media get so carried away. She's not won it -yet.
I think the big match could be Ons and Iga- Ons is doing so well- and Iga is getting better on grass. It will be called an 'upset' if Jabeur beats Swiatek- even though grass isn't really Iga's surface. It should be a good match.
