Never heard about this until tonight. I’m not a binge watcher but I’ve watched series 1 and what’s already dropped of series 2 . Love it. A bit twee , maybe not real but the characters are enchanting . Especially Emelda Staunton .
My usual go to programs include Motherland, FleaBag, Mum. So if you like them, you might like Trying .
Any one else watching it ?

I think ‘Bev’ was spying on her Grandkids. I hope she doesn’t cause trouble. Love the fact that Scott is less of a wanker as time goes on,. Would like to see more if their parents in this series. They made the last two I thought.

Scott's really warmed on me, also love his grey coat that he's always wearing.

Has anyone watched the latest episode!? Really hope it's going to have a happy ending. Assuming there's only 2 left?

My money is on Jason’s dad saving the day by spending the Spanish property money on the flat. I think Bev will do something catastrophic and the result will be she is discredited.

I think you could be right. I'm not sure I like the Bev story arc.. but will see where it goes.

I'm really enjoying it. I think Jason's dad will save the day, there'll be some miraculous return on his money or Scott will get a great advance for his book and give it to them.

I've just Googled and it seems there will be a Series 4!

It disappointed in today’s episode. Anyone else watched it yet?

I wasn't keen on tonight's episode. It's usually quite uplifting and jolly, but that just all felt a bit down.

Thanks for the recommendation my daughter and I are absolutely loving it.
We've laughed and cried. So invested in the characters now.

Ahh that was a lovely episode.

Have they ever explained why the children were up for adoption? Did their mum die? Just with Bev saying about what the mum would have wanted etc. The kids didn't seem to know who she was, so assume Bev can't have played a grandma role in their lives?

Guess the shows trying to keep it lighthearted and not get too deep but it would be nice to tie up some loose ends.

I love this show, it's my favourite. I've just watched the most recent episode and shed a few tears. It's beautifully written and acted. Hopefully we will get a fourth series next year. It feels like a long time to have to wait.

Watched the S3 season finale. Such a great show and cast, of course it was going to have a happy ending. So funny and just ‘the right side of quirky’🤣 (It even manages to make London renting life not quite as grim as the reality!) It’s so deserving of another series, great stuff 👏🏼

Loved it, sobbed again. When DH turned to me at the end and I was sobbing he said ‘how long have you been doing that for?’ I had to admit that it was about Two minutes in

Just finished the series - loved it! Gets just the right amount of quirky, fun, poignant, dysfunctional & uplifting all at once!

So their on screen chemistry has moved over in to real life relationship, allegedly 🙄 Honestly, who would marry an actor? Every day at ‘the office’ with your partner having chemistry with their co-star must be so hard to deal with. Sorry, off topic, it’s still a wonderful drama, but it just might change my view on it a bit….

I just watched season 3 finale and it was all lovely (though not for the publishing company :-( )

My access to Apple TV cuts off end of this month and not worth it just for this sadly.

Just read this, and it might not be what everyone's thinking, i hadn't realised him and his wife had separated last year..
So it's been possibly a year or more since the split since they've been seen in public holding hands.

Hopefully there was no affair in that case and just a case of a natural relationship happening after a break up. I'm sure it doesn't help his wife to know they are together now, but I'm not sure it should be in the press to make it sound like an affair occurred.

I hope you're right @covetingthepreciousthings - very unfair of the paper to imply an affair happened if that's not the case.

I didn't realise he was married to Elize du Toit - the last time I watched Hollyoaks was when she was in it and I used to think she was so beautiful and glamorous! I had such a girl crush on her!

Was she? I'm a massive neighbours fan and have watched it since the start but don't remember her in it (although I lived outside of the UK for quite a few years so couldn't watch it then so maybe it was during that period?)

Im sure she’s Australian.
