New thread - and many thanks to the people who tagged me asking me to start it. It genuinely meant a lot that you wanted me to start the new thread

I originally thought Summer would be pregnant and therefore feeling sick and tired. But after she passed out I wondered either
Eating disorder.
Too many energy drinks.
Diabetes, especially if combined with too many energy drinks.

I wondered about the significance of the energy drinks. Do the mess up blood glucose as well as smelling disgusting?

I think they are full of sugar so assume they would affect blood sugars. Although I could be talking nonsense

I guess some energy drinks are low calorie and mega caffeine. She had shakes from to much caffeine and rapid heart rate and if she’s not eaten her sugar would been low. I agree about Summer OTT parenting over every tiny little thing.

I used to get shakes like that when I had too many energy drinks (in my defence I was a young long haul stewardess fighting jet lag and nights out of bed). Could you get something like diabetes so quickly (probably you could on Coronation St!!) ? I haven’t noticed Summer particularly using them until recently.

Oh diabetics that would tick the “we are really awful parents we didn’t notice” card when she gets whisked off in ambulance. They haven't done eating disorder for ages either. She has been wearing big coats and cardigans and is skinny enough to pull it off. Every so often I get surveys on soaps and they ask how interested you are in certain story lines. Sorry Summer but if you went away to a spa weekend and didn’t come back no one would notice.

Is Summer supposed to be 15 or 16?

I think 17? She hasn’t been in school uniform for ages so I think older than Asha who still doing GCSE. I presumed college for A-levels and no uniform.

She is studying for something, I thought she was the same age as Amy etc. Billy doesn't do very much, does he, apart from having romantic angst.

She’s stayed with saint Rita so long - it always sorts them out..

Re Sharon - perhaps after being beaten up she'll now turn on Harvey along with Leanne of Duty and hey presto: storyline over. Thank fuck.

I hate being mean about young people but Summer isn’t the best actress, is she?

I think because she hasn’t had any good story lines. We don’t really know her at all. She’s been goody goody happy sensible friend. Always one not get drunk or do drugs go home early. She spent last 4y going out dinner with Billy and his latest boyfriend to speed dhali, that’s about it. No interest no hobbies. No boy crushes. No burning ambitions to be vegan or a scientist or go top Uni and all the years of study hard story lines.

Aadi hasn’t had much but few funny lines and story lines when he was training at shop etc go along way to feel like the characters are real.

They've tried but not quite managed to show the difference in views between the Deaf and deaf communities when it comes to CIs. I'm part of the deaf community and have an implant but have seen how many in the Deaf community think that implants are a really bad idea.

The main thing that jumped out at me during Sunday’s episode was how many times Billy/ Todd mentioned Spotify bit of strategic advertising if I’ve ever heard it!
