I Watched episode two today on I player. It
was a bit slow but I'm still intrigued enough to carry on watching it.
I like the dynamic between the women , but Anne's husband does seem a bit dim.

No spoilers allowed at all on the other thread so thought I'd start one!

Marking my place for later.

TheAlphaandtheOmega · 18/05/2021 20:38

I watched episode 2 and think it is getting better, haven't got time to watch any more tonight but rest is on iPad for tomorrow and next day as on holiday in caravan, though if weather is really grim I might get the lot finished tomorrow.

supercee · 18/05/2021 21:34

I've watched it all. Will wait patiently for others to catch up!

Florabella · 18/05/2021 21:52

I've watched it all too (although fast forwarded half the last episode) won't say more than that until others have caught up

LST · 18/05/2021 21:52

I've watched it all. Really enjoyed it actually.

storminabuttercup · 19/05/2021 14:23

On episode 4

It's a bit unbelievable isn't it?

youngestisapsycho · 19/05/2021 14:39

Just finished ... really enjoyed...

the80sweregreat · 19/05/2021 17:21

Episode three done!
It gets better as time goes on I think .

Just watched this, was enjoying it but it went downhill

thaegumathteth · 20/05/2021 01:22

I've just finished ep 3. I'm definitely spending a lot of time thinking 'well that wouldn't happen' 'that wouldn't work' etc etc etc

storminabuttercup · 20/05/2021 07:27

I finished the series. Bit far fetched but overall enjoyed it

Cocolapew · 20/05/2021 11:31

I've finished it, episode 5 was great, the last episode dragged a bit but I did enjoy it overall.

Egghead68 · 20/05/2021 12:35

They all have beautiful houses for factory workers.

the80sweregreat · 20/05/2021 13:16

I thought it dragged a bit during episode six but the ending did make me cry a bit.
I felt sorry for Nancy and also for Tamsin being hooked in by Jack :(
I didn't see any of the twists.

@Egghead68

They all have beautiful houses for factory workers.
I said that!
Egghead68 · 20/05/2021 13:24

Oh sorry didn’t rtft!

Cocolapew · 20/05/2021 14:23

I figured out she was pregnant but hadn't really thought past that.
I thought it was going to be Tish who killed him, thats why she told Sam(?) to use her as an alibi. That way Tish would have an alibi too.

storminabuttercup · 20/05/2021 16:07

@Egghead68

Oh sorry didn’t rtft!
Oh no sorry I didn't mean it like that I was agreeing with you. I said it in my head!!
AZisgreat · 20/05/2021 16:14

Just watched all 6 episodes over the last 3 days and I would say very disappointing ending....worse even than Series 1 of Keeping Faith where her missing husband just suddenly pops up again.
I agree that the first couple of episodes were intriguing though.

apilaud · 20/05/2021 16:21

Only on episode 5 but don't really care about spoilers. I knew the daughter was pregnant when we saw her throwing up at the memorial.

I assume Jack's the father? Look forward to seeing the culprit.

apilaud · 20/05/2021 16:31

Oh wow it didn't take long for that to be confirmed lol

AZisgreat · 20/05/2021 16:34

Oh wow it didn't take long for that to be confirmed lol
Such a weird bunch of selfish and/or deluded characters with really bad judgement.
apilaud · 20/05/2021 17:54

@AZisgreat

I didn't find the characters that believable either. Anna never twigged that the DD may be pregnant despite the fact she's been worried about her rebelling and she's constantly throwing up? Max suggesting they say that Jack raped her in the woods and using the pregnancy as evidence was a stupid suggestion because she already knew she was pregnant by then so would have been too far along for it to wash. The hinting that the son is gay and attracted to Jack was completely pointless, I don't know what they were going for there. Nancy confessing was daft, and the kind of stuff that would only happen in a drama. It doesn't matter how close I am to a friend, you wouldn't catch me doing that.

All in all it was a bit daft but a decent enough story at face value. I can see them doing another series I think. They could explore how the dynamics have changed at the brewery, how that family are coping with Jack's baby and Louie finding out it's her great/niece nephew, and of course it coming out somehow that Nancy wasn't the murderer.

the80sweregreat · 20/05/2021 19:07

It was better than some other dramas I've seen recently and the one playing Nancy was very good. It threw me a few curved balls that I didn't see coming and I liked the scenery and the fact that the women did stick together. It was far fetched at times, but overall it was ok I thought.

Quote apilaud: 'it coming out somehow that Nancy wasn't the murderer.'

I have nothing but contempt for the whole family (Max, Anna and the two kids including the spoilt brat of a girl actually responsible) for letting deluded Nancy 'carry the can'.
So annoyed I will not be watching a subsequent series.
