just that really. Any good tv recommendations appreciated - have access to netflix, and prime.

Love everything from married at first sight to line of duty and this is us, so not fussy.

but feel like I’ve watched everything now so want some inspiration.

thanks

I just finished 8 series of Spiral. On iPlayer. French police drama. Really really good

unique1986 · 08/05/2021 15:22

I've been watching Cracker on Amazon.
Heard it was good. Old School but glad I've watched it
Worth the extra charge.

User6587324 · 08/05/2021 15:31

I'm watching The Killing on iPlayer, it's very good, I think I might seek out Spiral next as that has a lot of recommendations on here

mum2jakie · 08/05/2021 17:58

As I've seen on another thread, the first series of Happy Valley is being shown on Drama channel from this Friday. Worth watching if you missed it first time around

Mumteedum · 08/05/2021 17:59

Watching the informer in netlifx. Paddy Considine .. really good

RozHuntleysStump · 08/05/2021 18:08

I feel like I've seen absolutely everything worth watching and quite a bit of what definitely isn't. Anyway, I'll throw out some suggestions to you.

Unforgotten
Borgen (I bloody loved this so much. It's a Danish political drama)
Trash TV - Survivor American versions, Australian Versions, Big Brother US and AU, Housewives etc.. Below Deck, The Bachelor.
Happy Valley
The Bridge (Danish, Swedish Police thing)
The Killing both US and Swedish versions.. or is it Danish? I can't remember.

Yeah, I've exhausted everything ever shown in my own language that practically everythign I watch now is subtitled./

Orpheline · 08/05/2021 18:34

The Shield, on Amazon. Best series ever about corrupt police.

ValancyRedfern · 08/05/2021 19:38

The Killing
The Bridge
Borgen
Mad Men and the West Wing if you haven't seen them before.

ChatterMonkey · 08/05/2021 19:39

Have you seen unforgotten? Thats what we've gone onto after line of duty and really enjoying it!

User6587324 · 08/05/2021 19:45

Oh yes, Mad Men and West Wing. Both excellent

Thunderpunt · 08/05/2021 19:46

Bodies. It's old, but Jed Mercurio wrote it and it's very good. Think it's on Amazon Prime

Fferny1 · 08/05/2021 19:47

I've just watched 'the stranger' on Netflix. I enjoyed it. Normally watch police dramas and thrillers plus Outlander & currently watching 'the affair'.

Veryverycalmnow · 08/05/2021 19:47

Just started 'your honor'- first episode so gripping!

DogsSausages · 08/05/2021 19:51

Bodies
Giri Haji
The Serpent

Unforgotton on ITV was great for a police drama

Below Deck for something much lighter!

Moonlaserbearwolf · 08/05/2021 21:50

Have you seen Call my Agent on netflix? Best thing I’ve seen in ages.

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 08/05/2021 21:55

Spiral was recommended on here - I'm so glad we were able to watch all 8 series in a row! Gripping throughout.
Torn - All4 - French.
The Missing - iPlayer. British but set in France (series 1) , and Germany (s2).

mymymy0 · 08/05/2021 22:30

@Fferny1 what are you watching The Affair on?

howdidigettobe50something · 08/05/2021 23:44

Thanks for the thread. I was at a loss what to watch next and I've just watched the first 2 episodes of Spiral! Really gripping!

Elite on Netflix

eatsleepread · 09/05/2021 07:21

My two very favourites from lockdown:

  • Mindhunter
  • the Fall
awaynboilyurheid · 09/05/2021 08:48

Agree with suggestion for your honour, Brian Cranston is such a good actor and it’s gripping! Also if you haven’t seen it, first season of True detective with Woody Harrison and Matthew McConaghey is excellent, dark subject matter you’ll need something light to watch after it but fantastic acting by the two leads.

ballsdeep · 09/05/2021 08:50

The innocent on Netflix.

It's grippibg I binge watched in a day. It's the best thing I've seen for ages
