Penny Lancaster on loose woman

Does anyone else think Penny Lancaster is totally ridiculous pretending to be a volunteer policewoman, she’s married to a multi millionaire,

Huge mansions here and in America and regular spot on loose woman and now saying she’s a policewoman. I think if she really got caught in any trouble she would run a mile!

I don't watch Loose Women so don't know what she said but she isn't pretending to be a policewoman, she did the training and qualified recently, she's a PCSO isn't she like 1000s of others

I didn't see Loose Women but don't think its ridiculous. Why should her DHs wealth mean she shouldn't volunteer?

In what way is she pretending to be a special constable? You either are or not.

She took part in that reality TV show didn't she? Along with other "celebs" (?) and they had to work alongside actual police officers. I think it was her - she gave chase to a young shoplifter and was really shaken by it.
Apologies if this was covered in the show.
Do you think it's good PR or bad or nothing of the sort?

I haven't watched this but if she went through the training, that shows she needs some meaning or purpose and don't we all!

God help her, such bad taste in men, but this is a good use of time? Surely?

I only have a passing knowledge of her so had to google to find out about her bad taste in men but she appears to have been with her husband for over 20 years and one relationship before that. For a TV person that seems like pretty good going

She's not a pretend police officer - she's a special constable. And she had to pass the required assessments to get in .

Good luck to her. The cops will treat her just like any other person.

I think she is great, she comes across as a warm down to earth woman, who wants to make a contribution to society. She did all the training, and passed so good luck to her.

She lives locally, and the school gate gossip is that she’s really very nice. Normal and solid person, not at all up herself. And taller than his expect. They’re quite protective of her.

I think rich women (more than rich men) can't do right for doing wrong. If they have easy lives with lots of holidays they are castigated for being lazy or spoilt. If they try and do something worthwhile they are seen as do-gooders or fake.

Totally agree. I haven't seen this and don't know the details, but I think good on her if she wants to contribute.

she was a photographer when she met Rod,funnily never seen any of her work,used to like Rod but since he and his son are going to get out of a charge my view has changed

No, she’s a special constable. Which has all the powers of a regular PC, just is a volunteer position.

Iirc she did a reality show where famouses did a turn as an officer, found she was good at it, and signed up permanently.

Feedback from officers she’s working with is she’s bloody good at the job.

I read s thing about this.

She volunteers has done the training and goes out and does the job.

In what way is she pretending?
Why is it difficult to imagine that she might want to volunteer and do something useful?
The thing I read I thought it was pretty inspirational. She doesn't have to do what at times must be difficult and stressful. But she does.

I never understand posts like the OPs. She's rich so she must be playing at it? You don't know her. Why assume she's not being honest etc?

She says she'll be joining city of London police. Interesting force.

Little stuff like gangs etc.
However, plenty of terrorist scares and actual terrorism. Very high profile buildings which are a big target.
Trying to think what else goes on there!
