Hope you all don’t mind, getting near the end of thread 7, so thought I’d trot this one out!

I thought that there was some weight to the theory that the Jo's mum might have been involved in Sandbacks too as was Tommy and perhaps another person who went onto join the police force and became bent. And that this is the person Jo thinks is her dad who is part of the OGC storyline. So could be ages with Tommy.

Also in the glass box, Arnott asks her if he controlled her the way Tommy did and she seems reluctant to answer, which is a different response than if he had no part in her upbringing and also plants the seed that he is part of the storyline.

Sorry to be dim, but what did Steve withhold from Kate from the interview with Jo?

Steve told Kate that they didnt get anything out of Jo about her family when actually she told them quite a lot.

Although its widely beleived Carl Banks killed GV its never been formally proved. Also Lee Banks DIDN'T beleive his brother did it and made a comment to Steve that they were just trying to pin it onto the dead guy.

Thanks, juggling. Wonder why? Does he think Kate is too close to/taken in by Jo?

I’m currently rewatching the first couple of episodes to see if I can work anything out. Apparently the series finale leads right back to the beginning/where it all started......

Fairbank is old enough to be Jo's father.

Sandsview was a boys' home though, and the goings on were happening in the 80s? 90s?, so neither fits Jo's mum having been there.

I thought there was going to be another.

I've been a fan of this show from Series one, when it was shown on BBC2 on a Wednesday at about 10 p.m. Then it took off, and as we know, the rest is TV history. I've watched all series multiple times, but hats off to some of you guys, you understand it much more than me.

It's great TV, the best. But I for one will be gutted if a new character is suddenly shoehorned in as H.

I don't think that will happen, and I hope it won't. Also, I think this should be the last series. Let's go out with a bang. It would be a shame if we all thought that a future series was one too far. Go out on a high.

They need to wrap this up, and I think they will. I also think one of the big 3 will die.

Pretty sure I've read that Jed has said this is the last one. I think Ted needs to get to arrest H whatever else happens.

I am also re-watching the beginning of series 1. Boy, they packed a lot into that first episode.

I wonder if that means the Karim shootout that Osborne covered up.

As Osborne was DI on the Lawrence Christopher case when Thurwell was the SIO, has Thurwell retired to become the king pin in the OCG group world (succeeding Hunter). Osborne is the one covering up for him in the force.

There is a theory that Karim was an OCG member and his killing was intentional.

I think that's what Jimmy Lakewell was alluding to. If that's true, Steve is going to be gutted. It was bad enough when he thought it was mistaken identity.

Holy shit, if that’s the case then they’ve played one hell of a long game! Everyone I know thinks Ted is going to cark it Craig Parkinson said on the Obsessed podcast that he thinks so too.
