I agree she's dodgy but just not sure how dodgy.

Perhaps Ted - he with the cleanest of clean hands - has invested in Steph's salon as an act of altruism given her lack of pension. However . . . Given the previous salon history in LOD, Ted may be unknowingly on dangerous and incriminating ground. Oh dear dear me.

Steph is in this series an awful lot so presuming there's more to come with her. I wonder if she's manipulating Steve (saying how much he reminds her of John, the good man reference, taking him to bed) so that she can get some sort of revenge for John's death.

@PrincessScarlett I agree, she seems to have a really big role. I wonder if it’s to keep Steve’s suspicions/ investigation about Ted being corrupt alive? It’s clear Steve is no longer so loyal and wanting out of AC-12 and we know he’s like a dog with a bone about any corruption, so perhaps her character is there to keep that storyline going?

I assumed she was lying about the hairdressing to explain why she’s not struggling financially and it didn’t really exist. I can’t believe she would be laundering money for the OCG- makes no sense for her to be recruited by them given everything that happened in S5.

Also the reference to HMRC was strange - pretty sure they wouldn’t be aware of cash hidden in the loft!

Oh no that’s awful. I knew she didn’t have long, but I wanted her to stay with us until the end of the series, (that sounds so shallow but I know she would have wanted that as well).

So horrible for her family.

I know. Her kids are still young, and also (it does feel a bit silly to say it) I wanted her to get to the end of the series for her own sake.

I guess she could have invested £25k and had £25k in the attic. It's not like Steve sat and counted it... 😄

I’m just watching again to pick uo on some of the things mentioned here and in the podcasts.
Just rewatched the interview between ac-12 and Jo Davidson, there is definitely a subtle glance between Jo and Chloe when Chloe is initially introducing the interview. Also I agree about the speed of release of JD after Farida’s interview. Why didn’t they believe her? They immediately changed their entire opinion! 🤯

She did the recap for Sunday’s episode as well and mentioned she was in hospital in the S6ep2 one. This news has made me feel really sad as I didn’t realise it was her at first given she was still working.

Lisa didn't drown (or at least not on her own); Ryan held her down in the water. Kate etc know this as Kate says when she questions him that Lisa's autopsy showed bruises to her neck and broken fingernails.

This puzzles me actually. Surely that would have to be investigated further? There's no way a pathologist or coroner (unless bent) would sign that off as accidental drowning? And yet Ryan's already been given a commendation.

I wondered that about the injuries on Lisa from the drowning @IntermittentParps The commendation thing was really weird.

Kate's on delicate ground so I suspect she's building her data and biding her time. As it stands, it would be her word against Ryan. Plus Lomax knows she queried the route. No doubt it will come together in future.

Bit weird it was such a casual questioning of Ryan though, given Lisa died.

That would be one explanation but a pathologist's job is NOT to assume anything. And the bruises to her neck aren't explained by that. I do wonder if there's something dubious going on even at the level of the pathologist lab. Or it might just be slightly lazy writing.
