Brothers & Sisters..... Prime

Currently re watching Brothers and Sisters on Prime and on Season 2.

I don’t remember much when I first watched it, but it really does look very different in 2021.

Firstly I don’t remember how bloody privileged they all are. They don’t really work and businesses on the brink of debt, but so much spa days, copious amounts of wine and a heated swimming pool.

Mum is deeply passive aggressive and manipulative - the family have literally no boundaries ( I could never imagine discussing with my mum and all my siblings the first time I had sex)

Let’s not even get started on the mistress and not quite illegitimate child.

My goodness this is a pile of shit!

I’m rewatching and loving it. If it was realistic it would be boring. It does get less believable when the second long lost child appears though.

Lol! You are right and I haven't switched it off for 24 hours!

I think my surprise is how I didn't question a lot of this when I first watched it.

On the plus side... I really do like pretty much all of the actors in it!

I watched it years ago, when it first came out and liked it.
Rewatched episodes 1&2 yesterday and thought it was a load of crap!
Just goes to show our tastes change as we get older

I binge watched this recently. Ridiculously addictive. Loved it all except the last series, it all went a bit rubbish.

I’m scared to rewatch it in case I think it’s crap (as happened with Dawson’s Creek 😂) given just how much I loved it at the time!!! Especially Kevin.

At the time of initially watching it I was about the same age as them all and had a Joey/Dawson vibe going on with my best friend. So I could totally relate!! When i rewatched it about 15 years later I was cringing 😬😂

I think I might give Brothers & Sisters a go though. It was soooooooo good watching it at the time. (Apart from Tommy. Tommy was an arse)

Just to confirm Tommy is still an arse in 2021.

I mean it really is addictive, and easier to watch after a bottle of wine or 2 Grin

Didn’t they write Tommy out of it after the actor had a very public affair with Sienna Miller? I remember going off him a lot!! I think I’m going to rewatch it. I need an easy watch!

Oohh I had to Google that! I must have missed it. There wasn't much to him as a character compared to the others.

I have a proper love/hate relationship with Norah!

He does to be fair yes 😂 it would be very weird seeing him play someone nasty!

Justin popped up in an episode of This Is Us not so long ago (the same producer of Brothers and Sisters produces it) and I was very excited!

I seem to remember they say ‘Holly Harper’ a LOT 😂
