I’m a few days behind on the thread, so sorry if this has already been covered, but why does Chas or indeed anyone think Eric is in the wrong? I know Chas is sticking up for her son, but the Dingles would be the first in the queue to clobber an intruder. More pertinently, is no one going to remind Chas that she once stabbed Diane because she had PTSD and thought she was a burglar?

@JaneJeffer I think you’re right on Luke. That storyline seemed to have been forgotten, but I knew they’d have to pick it up eventually. Of course, it makes zero sense given that Luke desperately tried to convince Ethan he wasn’t gay, but logic rarely troubles soap scriptwriters.

Chas is the hypocrite extraordinaire.

I usually like Jane Pearson episodes but tonight's was all over the place.

Ben is like one of those men who think you fancy them if you happen to glance in their direction.

I don't think it mattered in the end that Chas stabbed Diane because that's how Diane found out she had cancer again, so you know all was forgiven and Chas had actually done her a favour really

Perhaps Aaron could have a brain tumour, which is discovered when he gets a delayed swelling from Eric’s cricket bat attack. The the Dingles can forgive Eric as he’ll have saved Aaron’s life.

I zoned out for most of last nights episode. Thought I was back in the 90’s for a while when I heard Eric talking about liv. Seems they’ve given him a personality reversal.

The only problem with that @StillCoughingandLaughing is that Eric hit him in the back. Chas said he had bruised kidneys. These are the same kidneys that got scarred in a terrible car crash after which he left hospital and went straight to the pub for a pint. Although he definitely has brain damage if he fancies Ben.

Well if it doesn’t work out with Ben, I’m sure someone else will be along in a minute. For someone who lives in a tiny Yorkshire hamlet, Aaron does remarkably well for boyfriends. If Ben doesn’t do it for him, he could always have a crack at Ethan - and that before Luke comes out. There’s more action in Emmerdale village than the gay village in Manchester!
