I’m finding I need something a bit lighter recently.
If I like death in paradise, call the midwife and Shakespeare and Hathaway what else might I like?
Thank you

Have you watched The Great? Very funny.

greenlynx · 21/02/2021 01:12

Mallorca files on BBC player.

Dan3i · 21/02/2021 01:24

If you have Netflix I recently watched Firefly Lane and loved it!

EskSmith · 21/02/2021 01:27

5 bedrooms.

DontGoIntoTheLongGrass · 21/02/2021 06:18

Started watching Lucifer. I find it funny. The Office US too.

BunnyRuddington · 21/02/2021 09:03

Very light and very funny I recommend Superstore (on Netflix.

I like that one too.

sashagabadon · 21/02/2021 09:04

Schitts creek is rather heartwarming

9GreenBottles · 21/02/2021 09:13

Wanted - on Netflix. Not directly made for laughs but a bit of a caper.

NoddyHoldersCrazee · 21/02/2021 09:16

Ghosts!

covetingthepreciousthings · 21/02/2021 09:17

Another vote for Ghosts. - on iplayer.

GlamGloria · 21/02/2021 09:17

Schitts Creek, Offspring, Kath and Kim, Parks and Recreation, Arrested Development...

covetingthepreciousthings · 21/02/2021 09:18

Ooh and Staged too on iplayer is brilliant.

mdh2020 · 21/02/2021 09:41

Listen to Conversations from a Marriage on BBC Sounds. It has Joanna Lumley and Roger Allan playing a long-time married couple and is superb.

LunaNorth · 21/02/2021 09:42

Call My Agent on Netflix. I’m obsessed.

viques · 21/02/2021 09:47

Life in Pieces. Brilliant cast, very funny scripts.

viques · 21/02/2021 09:48

Oh and I am another one who has recently found Superstore. Make sure you keep an eye on what is happening in the background!

Tartyflette · 21/02/2021 09:50

Call My Agent is excellent.

SiliconHeaven · 21/02/2021 11:28

Excellent suggestions thank you.
I’ve seen ghosts, lucifer, parks and rec, arrested development, the office and schitts creek.
Definitely going to check out superstore and call my agent

Motherland, if you haven't already seen it. (Though it's horribly sad underneath. And I am hunting down the main character's husband with unabashedly murderous intent.)

Brassic is enlivening and absorbing.

If you simply want something lovely, then yes, Detectorists. (GOAT)

Or This Country, which is also brilliant.

The only thing is, the things I've listed are mostly much more 21st c in their values and production than the things you've said you like.

BunnyRuddington · 21/02/2021 11:56

Mandy on the IPlayer is also good but each episode is only 15 mins.
