I don’t care who wins because I think this has been what/who they’ve wanted since early on anyway. It was noted.

Thoroughly lacking is an excellent summary of this series.

He was the most improved but Faye was a better skater.

Fate was definitely the better skater of the two. But what with SJ's massive billboard adverts all over the country and his fame as a radio DJ, I'm not surprised he won instead 🙄

I’ve never heard of either of them until they came on here, and I still don’t always remember what they’re called!

The repeated dances (Black Swan, Popeye and Bodyguard) were pretty good. The three new dances were not great. The Boleros were Boleros.

The returning contestants had one entertaining moment and some attractive skating but was also quite depressing because there were at least three better potential finalists in there.

The hour of filler had three moments worth watching (Faye’s pissed mum, Klabera’s homesick meltdown, Philip forgetting the winning pro’s name) but I wouldn’t honestly say any of them were worth the effort of slogging through the other 59 minutes of it.

SJ was more popular with the voting public.

I've watched every series of this, same with SCD, sometimes it goes in your favour, other times it doesn't.
Chris Fountain, and Perrie Kiely are two from DOI that I wanted to win.

I haven't even watched last weeks yet but that's now the third year in a row the best skater came second. Absolute fix.

I doubt it's fixed- it's the same with Strictly, the best dancer often doesn't win. Bill Bailey wasn't a better dancer than HRVY or Maisie. They're just popularity contests at the end of the day. I'd have liked to have seen the other young lad, the one from Emmerdale, in the final. He was much better then SJ (who would still probably have won!).

I've always kind of felt like it doesn't matter who wins since the show just ends at that point. But they said I still get annoyed when then wrong person wins!

And at least we know that there is going to be one next year.

Out of all of the new dances, I only liked Colin and Klabera. I love that song anyway as it makes me feel happy and want to dance (badly) to it.

Gutted he didn’t do the bigB.

So many potential fab finalists didn’t make it.

So many potential triple G&T’s had by Faye’s mater.

Not surprised sunnyd won.

Not surprised that the gein twins were as irritating. And someone had stapled the female grinner’s feet to the floor again.

Well that was pants. As pants as the whole series has been really. I couldn’t even remember who else was in the skate off besides Faye and Colin, he was that uninteresting, didn’t even remember his name.

Hopefully that will be the last DOI ever (I say that as someone who has loved it over the years). It’s run it’s course. As have Torville and Dean, sadly.
