Or did he sub the restaurant on the pub

Whitney and mush. Really. Have they both forgotten about Kat

When will martin reliese ruby isn’t preg

Will we find Tina is dead. What was the purpose of shower curtain. Wondering if her body is found wrapped in it and then Shirley or mil will recognise it as from home and know grey did it

Phil always gets off any accusations, so why would the police be interested in this now?
It doesn't make any sense. Jack is the one Phil should be going after here.
He does look rattled so I guess it's all very incriminating. Why didn't Jack hand it in ?
Why why why... 😀

Think dodgy policeman wanted to “take him down” so evidence was off the record duff duff duff

Did the dodgy policemen die?
Akire · 16/02/2021 20:20

Oh heck did he? Grin

the80sweregreat · 16/02/2021 20:22

Someone ( policeman) was put on the fridge by stuart but he lived so I think I'm getting my policemen mixed up a bit ! Lol
( no idea actually, EE makes my head hurt)

PinkDaydreams · 16/02/2021 21:14

Whatever happened to the 'deadfrosted' police man, has that storyline just been forgotten about?

the80sweregreat · 16/02/2021 21:34

@PinkDaydreams

He was frozen out! I'll Have to ' let it go' I guess..
Daydreamsinglorioustechnicolor · 16/02/2021 21:39

Storylines are ridiculous but I'm still here watching!

Daydreamsinglorioustechnicolor · 16/02/2021 21:41

@PinkDaydreams

What was the point of that storyline? It must get tied in at some point. Isn't Kush supposed to be doing time for Phil? I'm confused 😕
PinkDaydreams · 16/02/2021 21:52

Im also confused at the kush Phil prison storyline, again another stupid ee story being so far from reality!

Akire · 16/02/2021 22:01

The frozen policeman who escaped to threaten prison to Stu...

Who blackmailed Halfway to get Stu off...

Who in turn was trying get dirt to get Phil...

Who was found out by Jack who threaten to do the frozen policeman over possibly something else entirely...

Who gave up stick to Jack which got Phil and halfway off the hook and umm may have retired abroad/died/still be in the force...

Max found out that trying get Tina for crime that Sharon did. Because she was trying kill Ian for Denny dying. Ian gives her the pub because he feels guilty...

Max finds out and then tries to blackmail Phil into making Sharon give him the pub for trying kill Ian...

So they can give it (possibly for free) to Mick and Linda from Max. (Who already owns half that Ian’s not paid off)

Out of the money he stole from Max...

And the money he double mortgaged fraudulently from Kathy....

I hope that’s cleared it up Smile

GattinaGattona · 16/02/2021 22:08

Yeah jack wanted to protect Callum and didn’t care about Phil going down as much as Thompson did, basically jack convinced Thompson it wasn’t worth it because he would get the sack for corrupt entrapment that was all off record and he would lose his pension. So jack kept all the top secret evidence and told Phil to leave Callum alone.

Bluenightowl · 17/02/2021 00:30

Ash gave Peter the pain relief. Peter lied to save Ash.
I don’t think Peter ‘loves’ anyone except himself. He is as unlikeable as Ruby. I found EE ridiculous tonight. It’s as if it’s written and filmed and then the scenes are jumbled up and cellotaped together for the viewers to make of it as they wish.

I’m at the verge of giving up on it. It’s really slipshod since they resumed filming. It’s hurried and careless and ... well it’s a very poor programme these days.

cherrytree63 · 17/02/2021 06:50

It feels like I'm watching Twin Peaks at times.

WoodSageandSeasalt · 17/02/2021 07:14

The indecision about whether to acknowledge Covid is making it hard to watch. Last night Peter and Ash went all night clubbing (obviously not like real life) but when they came out of the tube station she had a mask (real life). This happens all the time. Why don’t they either ignore it completely or build it into the storylines, the show is far fetched enough as it is 🙄

GattinaGattona · 17/02/2021 08:30

Yep agree it looks sellotaped together, they start a story then you don’t hear of it for a week, probably to do with the actors and distancing etc but it doesn’t flow anymore. I’m still happy it’s back on though, when there was no eastenders at all it made lockdown worse 😅

catinbootsx · 17/02/2021 08:42

@the80sweregreat

So, Jack had a PC memory stick hidden away that Max found in a nano second. The police are not aware of all this info on the local gangster , but now Max can bully his way into getting the Vic on the back of it. In 24 hours. I know EE isn't real life , but this is a story line too far even for them :)
I think you've forgotten the jewellery heist saga of 2017/2018??

If you think EE is bad trying watching Corrie... it's drive to me to watch EE again after a break for years!
the80sweregreat · 17/02/2021 09:15

The Jewellery heist was very silly and we had the weyland/ Max thing straight after with the blond Sullivan woman trying to get the Vic with Lauren and Josh (?) and the Mr Big character who had an office at canary wharf ? That was all very confusing.
Not as confusing as this with Jack and the dodgy policemen , which I really am struggling to understand a lot! ( old age )
Callum was involved and it's all bound to come up at the wedding to Ben I suppose!
Maybe social distancing had made it harder to film or some actors can't work with other ones or something?
Still, I wonder if Sharon will get Phil off and hand over her pub for Max to have?

Daydreamsinglorioustechnicolor · 17/02/2021 09:18

If you think EE is bad trying watching Corrie...
it's drive to me to watch EE again after a break for years!

I've done the opposite. I remember Corrie being much more cosy and familiar but it is just as over dramatic.

catinbootsx · 17/02/2021 10:16

It's so so rubbish but I don't know how to stop watching I'm like a crack addict? Grin

On a thread many moons ago I worked out I'd spent 9 months of my life watching 'Enders. Everyone helped and even factored in the Christmas specials etc.

the80sweregreat · 17/02/2021 10:25

I'm loyal as I've watched it since it started.
I have had a break on and off over the years , but even when I lived abroad for a few years I used to have video tapes sent out to me to watch! I think it has had lean times in the past and traded on its better story lines , past glories if you like. Some characters have worked well and ones such as Heather they killed off ( I've never moved on from that ! Lol)
It's straying too much from real life lately : the old ones had normal stories and the dramatic stuff was easier to follow I think. Less complex.
Kat pretending not to be Zoe's mum for years was something that happens in real life. Frozen policemen or people running naked around the streets on a very cold rainy day really doesn't !

Thanks Blondes! I’ve probably missed out some twists but does show how ridiculous these stories are. I remember a classic one when Pauline spent half of it going in the pub.. Have you seen Ian? Going on the laundrette .. Have you seen Ian? Going in the cafe.. Have you seen Ian? Just everyday interactions.
