Hi folks. New thread for next week.

The thing that puts me off Badger being Ne Yo is thaf he talks in a midlands accent although it is a bit all over the place, granted. Now I know they can be putting accents on but would an American fake a Brum accent? Maybe he's been watching the Osbourne's I dunno.

I'm really not sure about the accents. Morton Harket sounded completely different in his interviews so I thought they could be dubbed?

I think badger sounds like an American badly attempting a British accent so it’s a bit all over the place

He must have British pals or just pick up accents well. It's definitely him

I think it’s neyo because it sounds like his voice. The accent is all over the place so that doesn’t deter me.

There was a hat with corks on in one of the earlier VTs which is why people were saying Carl Fogarty and other people who had been jn I'm a Celeb. I mean I suppose it might be just a hat and the corks are just a red herring.

Badgers accent is what puts me off to I just don't hear even a hint of an American accent when he sings and that's very hard to keep up.... everything else fits though so maybe he has just missed his calling as an actor

NeYo has done a bit of acting. To me he sounds American when he sings.

Just saw that Joss Stone has just given birth... Would she have been able to be Sausage at 5 months pregnant? (What a weird sentence)...

I think Sausage sounds like a mature black lady when she sings..
I just don't really like that style of singing but I would not be surprised if she won.
For me,regardless of who they are-Robin or Badger are the ones I would be happy to see win.

Maybe he does it took me ages to hear Katherine Jenkins true accent last year so I'm probably not the best judge of accents

I don't always get the accents (apart from Lenny Henry )
I did get Patsy Palmer straight away last year though- something she said just sounded instantly 'her'.

@JorisBonson I can’t really see why not. She managed to record an album after that! The costume wouldn’t be on for long. I worked until a few days before I popped as do many!

I saw a video of him singing... It's definitely not him 😂

@ATieLikeRichardGere see, when I watch those two I get more convinced it is her. She's just singing it in a different style but she has a good range and doesn't have the soulful sound of joss

The sausage outfit would also be good at hiding the signs of being pregnant

I think I read in one of the articles linked here (thk u to whoever did) that the design of the Sausage costume meant the wearer had to walk and stand with their legs apart. Plus JS was apparently v sick with her pregnancy. I dunno. Doesn't sound like a v comfy proposition to me.

So if not Sheridan, (who folk have done a decent job of debunking) I continue to be baffled and bamboozled by Sausage.

(And I really hope that by the time the next series of MS comes around, I will be too busy living my 'best life' post-pandemic to be giving any head space as to the identity of an overstuffed foam meat-product.)
