Joss Stone began her career on a BBC Star for a Night which she entered to earn money to buy a horse.

She was told she looked like a horse as Ann of Cleaves in The Tudors.

I love how invested every one has got in this programme, it really has become one of the highlights of my week .
(Especially as it is Monday morning, and I'm trying to ignore all the school work and zoom calls I've got to do today).

Guessing the identity of a singing Sausage is much more fun. My google history looks very random.

And in case anyone missed before, Joss has links to Lisa Stansfield - Lisa presented Joss with a Brit Award and they share a birthday. But the song choice would have been to do with Joss’ Total World Tour where she was trying to visit places people don’t usually perform.

The clues do fit, and they could have put the Legally Blonde lie in to thrown everyone off. It's just sausage sounds exactly like Sheridan.

Also i think the blackpool vt is linking to blackpool in cork, which has a fish and chip shop that samantha mumba hailed the soundest chipper in ireland. I got this from google.
I just think with the Billie school she attended and her daughter being named Sage and she was discovered by louis walsh, it just fits.
I only recognised her voice as i was a fan, its my era and that’s how i recognised martine. I do see how Joss fits though. I still can’t hear sheridan or stacey.

I didn’t watch the first series, were there any genuine surprises or shocks when singers were unmasked?

I will get my Flags of the World game out later because there was a seriously obscure flag on there which is bugging me and will be a clue!

Not really thisemicharmedlife there were some that we all agreed on (Nicola Roberts was one) and some for which there were different options (like Sausage for example now) but it was always one of the options we came up with (if that makes sense).

@thischarmedlife I never saw Teddy Sheringham coming last time but I don’t know much about football. Not sure if others had got him or not! Otherwise I do recall everything being pretty guessable.

I think Teddy Sheringham was guessed from memory - footballers are a trickier one as clues tend to cover quite a few of them unless you get down into the specifics.

He played for Notts Forest and they referenced his goals he scored in the Champions League

I am now convinced by your convictions that Stone is Sausage (although I wish it were Sheridan).

I feel JS is quite a spurious celebrity though. Did she ever have a big hit career defining song?

I’m pleased to be winning people over on the Joss Stone hypothesis. I don’t think she did have a spectacular hit but she remains a fixture. She’s quite prolific - had 7 albums and 43 singles - which also popped up as a clue in a clock reading 743 in the VT.

I'm on board with Joss Stone now - you've all convinced me!

I think Joss Stone had a couple of fairly big hits. I remember 'you had me' and 'right to be wrong' in particular.

Yeah it can't be joss stone! I think the clues that point to her are red herrings. Sausages voice is not as soulful as hers anyway. Neither does it sound like Beverley knight. I think that at least Sheridan is an actress and therefore more able to have a voice that can be adaptable?

Still totally stumped on dragon. Have we gone off the Courtney act idea?
