I can't wait for next week. I've only been watching for a couple of episodes and I'm hooked

Following on from a poster from the previous thread, I too thought Harlequin was Gabrielle!

I really missed being on the thread this week. Couldn't watch without DD though and couldn't risk any spoilers!

I don’t know whether this tiny query has been mentioned before, but when Harlequin first turned up I was slightly confused because I didn’t think the producers would put a black singer in a white face mask - just because prime time shiny floor TV producers wouldn’t ever do anything that might give the slightest tiniest chance of a ludicrous “Masked Singer in Twitter Race Row” headline.

Now they’ve changed the mask used for the live show to gold, but the old VT mask is white. Do you think that someone did belatedly think “oh maybe we should change it in case of a ludicrous Twitter row” or more interestingly do you think that Harlequin was perhaps originally going to be someone else?

I’m team Gabrielle like everyone else. Was Harlequin the one who “played a male lead role in a musical” by the way? Still baffled by that clue.

Just watched this weeks on catch-up.

I'm thinking Gwendoline Christie for Dragon (Brienne in Game of Thrones). There was a mention of being an "Oath breaker" in the VT and the rainbow stomach could be a nod to being a member of the Rainbow Guard, both Game of Thrones references.

I might be reading a bit too much into things and clutching at straws though

I'm a bit stumped on the others.. Figured Bush Baby was putting on the Aussie accent, but looking forward to see who everyone is!

This guess might be silly but I am thinking Badger is Guy Martin.
I have managed to get some of the clues to fit. Just can’t imagine him singing though.

I guessed John Thomson but I recognised his singing voice from way back.

Badger is ne-yo according to some but I'm not familiar enough to have an opinion,

I can't understand how they haven't stated the obvious.

I think the fact that the judges have mentioned neither of these names as guesses even when the whole country is screaming them at the TV proves that they are those people.

There's no way anyone with ears would have listened to that rendition of Take On Me last night and not said: that could be Morten Harket himself. And yet the judges were going all round the houses to avoid saying his name.

It's note for note the same as the acoustic unplugged version of the song a-ha did for MTV.

The same with Lenny Henry and Blob - we were crying with laughter at Monkseal's tweet yesterday.

Oooh I missed Monkseal's tweet, I'll have a look.

I don't think Badger can be Tim Minchin - he's been at home in Oz throughout the entire pandemic and spent the time recording a new album.

Does anyone have an up to date list of clues? I can't keep track!

Great give away that blob is very tall too and Lenny is exceptionally tall
