It’s getting more tricky to guess.
Sausage- the voice sounds more soulful than either sheridan or stacey, i saw sheridan in legally blonde and it just doesn’t sound like her.
Viking- I’m a little young for the A-ha days so I don’t know Morten but i can see how convinced others are so i would probably say they are right.
Robin- ashton
Harlequin- it does sound like Gabrielle but i also wondered Charlene White from the news because of the news clues.
Blob- Lenny Henry
Badger- possibly Neyo
Dragon- Courtney Act

kindlyensure · 24/01/2021 20:16

Although....... thinking of falsetto singers, Chris Martin has a high range - and he is a MASSIVE fan of Aha........Grin

Raahh · 24/01/2021 20:22

The news clues fit for Gabrielle ( as well as singing Fast Car, which was the sample on Dreams, so surely a big clue.).
Gabrielle's song 'Should I stay' sampled the BBC news theme tune . Always a bit random, that.Grin

APJ1 · 24/01/2021 20:39

@LittleRa

Sausage- Joss Stone?
Quite a few Twitterers agree with you and say her 'Around the World' song clue refers to when she did a tour performing in every country in the world.
peanutbuthead · 24/01/2021 20:48

It's not Billie. That's a red herring. She doesn't sing like that. It's not stacey either. Stacey doesn't doesn't sing in a northern accent. It's Sheridan smith disguising her speaking voice.
She spoke like that in Gavin and stacey when
She played smithys sister

Mumshappy · 24/01/2021 21:44

Sausage is Sheridan Smith. I agree her voice and hand movements are the same as in Gavin and Stacey.
Robin is the guy from JLS
Harlequin is Desrae ( not idea how to spell it')
Viking no clue but thought he sounded like Chris De burgh last night
Blob is Lenny Henry
Badger is Brian McFadden
Dragon is Courtney Act

callmeadoctor · 24/01/2021 21:44

But Sheridan had her baby end of May, filming was in September. Would she have risked Covid with a small baby?

CrochetOrBust · 24/01/2021 22:21

To be fair, it’s got to be about the most Covid-safe show there is. Not just the masks but they try to keep everyone apart for secrecy.
Quartz2208 · 24/01/2021 22:38

She also did pooch perfect fairly recently as well

Lurleene · 24/01/2021 23:42

Could Badger be Neil Morrissey? There was some reference to behaving badly, he has a distinctive accent, is into motorbikes, was famous as Bob the Builder so known for his voice rather than face by kids.

I can't really remember the other Badger clues and can't really imagine a world where Neyo and Neil could be confused but just thought I'd throw another name into the mix. Smile

ludothedog · 24/01/2021 23:59

I've fallen in love with Morten after watching that clip ☺🥰 however I still think its Jerome Flynn singing, he's just copying Morten.

ludothedog · 24/01/2021 23:59

Badger is the only one I'm not sure about.

NotYourReindeer · 25/01/2021 00:07

I've been posting away on the last thread , doh!

I don't get Gabrielle for Harlequin - I love Gabrielle and have one of her albums and Harlequin just doesn't ping my Gabrielle radar

I suggested Lolly Adefope on the last thread but could only make a few clues fit. I spent far too long on the "played a male lead role " clue and my hours of Googling led me to 2 shows that I'm not familiar with :

  1. Waitress. This had a male role played by a female . However it was a one off as Joe became Josie and none of the cast lists I could find had anyone jump out of me.

  2. Company. Apparently the lead was originally male but has since been changed to female? I don't know the actress but Rosellie Craig took the lead role at the Gielgud Theatre. However, Mel Giedroyc had a role too as Sarah. The following article states that further roles were to be gender reversed but doesn't state which

NotYourReindeer · 25/01/2021 00:08

I appear to be slightly overinvested.....Grin

Ignore me - it was Bush Baby who made a Men Behaving Badly reference Blush
mooncheese · 25/01/2021 01:11

Ok so my guess of Badger being Guy Martin was obviously wrong after Jorisbonson told me about a video of him singing, which I found (it was BAD)

So I am giving a very out there guess and I know who everyone will say who they think it definitely is, but going by my interpretation of the clues I think Viking is Pewdiepie! Hmm

custardcreambourbon · 25/01/2021 01:23

I do wonder to what extent the judges are free to guess who they want. IIRC they all seem to choose a different person, you’d assume that sometimes 3 of them would be thinking the same person for 1 singer. And also the singers who seem obvious to viewers yet none of the judges seem to get it. There must be times when some of them immediately know who it is?

Quartz2208 · 25/01/2021 08:09

I think they do say things and different guesses for effect. If they know them they normally come back to them for the reveal guess (Jonathan Ross and Martine)

I think bush baby they genuinely missed

JorisBonson · 25/01/2021 09:47

@mooncheese it's hysterical isn't it. I was so adamant it was him until I saw that video 😂

Quartz2208 · 25/01/2021 11:24

Harlequin confuses me - the clues dont really fit the singers it sounds like as it very much focuses on writing and awards

NotYourReindeer · 25/01/2021 12:45

Yes is she a newsreader or an actress, a comedian? I'm assuming there are a few red herrings as well.
CharityDingle · 25/01/2021 13:21

Watched for the first time this weekend. I wouldn't have a hope of guessing who anyone is, but it's a lovely programme.

Quartz2208 · 25/01/2021 13:34

Notyourreindeer she is a strange one isnt she. Because all the people I can think of for the clues dont match up with the fact that she sounds like either Macy Gray or Gabrielle

JaneJeffer · 25/01/2021 14:10

The clues are maddening!

I thought Badger might be Max Bowden but then he said nobody would recognise him walking down the street.

Wingedharpy · 25/01/2021 14:19

I think Blob is Vic Reeves - but I don't listen to the clues.
