Not really enjoying this series tbh as there is too much drama and nastiness, and some of it just doesn't ring true. I want to know about the normal trials pp go through, not this fucking weirdness!

I'll probably just forget to watch it next week. Ines is a shallow bitch, Bronson is an idiot for staying, Heidi needs to get the fuck away from that arsehole, Lauren needs to get the fuck away from ItsallabouMatt, Sam is bleurgghh and Lizzie needs to get some self respect. Cam and jules are lovely, and Jess and Farmer boy aren't going to last. And the others are so unsuited it's not even worth mentioning.

It's so un-subtely scripted for the drama couples, it's just like TOWIE etc

Ines is having fun playing up for the producers, and it will guarantee her some fame.

Still, it's fun to watch because it's so ridiculous and trashy.

I agree it's becoming very scripted. Elizabeth going to apologise to Ines whilst she's messaging Sam. Very convenient.
Ines therapy session with Bronson didn't look real either, she has to be acting surely!

Definitely scripted. And why was Nic filming their midnight argument on his phone? Filming it would surely be the last thing on your mind?

I only caught up last night and I missed the honeymoon episodes except for the last five minutes which included the cherry popping groan - ugh!

Yeah, I get that it's not to spoil it for others, but that's on them not to come on here and read the thread if they don't want spoilers. It's not up to us to keep quiet just in case someone hasn't caught up yet. It's making it unnecessarily complicated.

Really not enjoying this series as much. Agree it feels heavily scripted. I saw somewhere that Sam said it's all been set up by the producers to look worse between him and Ines than it actually was. Elizabeth must have been told to go and apologise to Ines too.

That apology was cringy. Both to Ines and Sam.
Lizzie needs to get some self esteem. Poor woman.

Oh that was amusing! I wouldn't do some if that to my partner of 10 years! Let alone a week! I can't believe Matt had no follow up questions for Lauren after she said she was a lesbian once (and surely she is just bi) anyone would just ask oh tell me about your partner then and try and sound interested! He is very strange if he wanted to just ask her favourite food and not even "oh I like dark chocolate or milk or have you tried salted caramel". Maybe he has social issues here?

The contestants seem to be holding back the laughter in the really scripted scenes. You can tell they've had to film them several times as well.

"Oh, I'd better check my phone and hold it up to the camera, oh look a message from X. Lucky my wife told me to stay at home all day, and go out with a friend (who isn't even a friend, just another contestant)"

"I'm going to go and apologise (for nothing) face to face with the woman that is trying to steal my husband, at the exact same time she is doing it"

The reality is that it's a lot easier and cheaper to script things, and then film them, than have huge numbers of cameras follow couples all day and hope something interesting happens (which probably won't).

The manipulation isn’t very subtle this time round. There’s also some dodgy editing to create more drama. Lots of added in pauses and voiceovers that have obviously been cut together. I don’t mind it because it’s entertaining. But it is a lot more like a made in Chelsea type show at the moment.

I wonder what Lauren is going to say too. I am guessing Matt will freak out about the ex-lesbian (just say bisexual FGS) thing and use it to pull away even further. He doesn’t seem into her at all.

I think Matt and Lauren look like brother and sister. Maybe that's her next bombshell

I know it's bad to speculate but could Matt be on the autism spectrum? He's maybe really struggling with social cues and theory of mind etc.

yes that was i was getting at, his questions show someone who isn't used to social chat at all. I get he may be afraid/shy of females but surely he has spoken to PEOPLE before or had a conversation with someone.

I wonder if the voice over woman will now start referring to Lauren as "former lesbian Lauren"? 😂

They should do that with everyone, just as they did for "29 year old virgin Matt". 😂
