I only watch tv once a year and that is to watch X Factor (I know I am sad, and should get out more...) but who is going to join me in this bundle of weekly fun?

Right, have caught up with it all on Sky+ now.

Thought that Hope were great again, and Futureproof much improved from last week, and living up to their potential.

Alisha was shite - not even in tune for half of it, so I'm surprised that she was saved, but Daniel was never going to win it was he, so suppose it doesn't much matter.

Was Dermot not incredibly rude to Celine and was she then grimacing angrily at the camera? Or was I hallucinating? They are all unbelievably crap thsi year.

Just me still thinking about this? Whatever happened to that Shane, anybody know? Aparting from selling his biography in woollies...

Ah no, that is sad. Am feeling quite depressed by that. Celine sang a very strange song and thhen was blahhing to dermot about her favourite 43 contestants and he had to cut her off before saying to camera "Yes she can talk as well as sing". Cue much gargoyling from an offended-looking Celine, who was also wearing a most peculiar dress, like someone had fashioned some very slimy polyester into a binbag and then cut the back away...

ooh, we saw that. DH said celine looked like she was going to do a miss piggy karate chop on dermot....

but she WAS going on a bit...

and the etiquette at these things is to say-'I couldn't possibly pick a favourite', not ramble for half an hour...

Heeheee. She must have known the cameras could see how cross she was? I think as The Biggest Selling Female Artist of All Time she was expecting more respeck.

am just watching the repeat of the results show- and i didn't watch all of the celine song-(had recorded it so whizzed thru it) so didn't hear just how truly awful and flat it was- it has no tune at all!! ( I am glad i never paid good money to hear her warble in vegas)

Let's not forget, Nikki is a trained singer who was with a group that didn't have any chart success, so although she's good, I always feel that she has an unfair advantage over the others.

I know exactly what Simon's doing with Same Difference, he's a clever man. He's got a gimmick there that is so marketable, aimed at little girls - think Barbie, and yes, HSM. Can't you just see it, in a year's time, when he's got them established, the 'Same Difference dollies'. How many six year old or so girls will have that on their Christmas list?

The judges want shaking sometimes with the song choices. Why on earth was Daniel given that song? Now the only decent bit of eye candy has gone. (Andy doesn't do it for me -eyes too close together.)

I think Rhydian is classically trained yes. He's very good, but I can't help thinking he's on the wrong show, he should be on an Andrew Lloyd Webber show.

Rhydian has such an affected manner and accent though , very nasal too. He isn't right for musical theartre but won't be able to carry a pop song either. It was hardly opera and if he were that good he'd have probably found a classical niche already.

I've been thinking about this (sad as I am), and it isn't that Niki has had training or anything that is the issue, it is that they have made her out to have never done anything with her singing before dadondeathbed which is why it seems more of a con. Rhydian came from theatre college or something didn't he?
