I wonder how much they get for appearing on this? It's a big commitment for them training each day. The judges and presenters must earn a fair amount too! It Must blow a hole in the bbc budget!

Don’t know about the celebs but I’m sure I read something about the judges getting about £100k each and the pro dancers £40k. Im sure the Pros complained at the time as they pointed out that they do a heck of a lot more work than the Judges!

Just watched the catch-up end agree with most PP’s. I think Caroline, Clara and Ranvir are in danger this week. I’m bored with Caroline’s dancing and the other two didn’t have their best dances.☹️ JJ’s really improving, HRVY is fab and it’s interesting to see a young (21) celeb with an older dancer- I’ve only watched Strictly for a few years but they often pair young ‘uns- I think Janette had a quite caring attitude towards him. That’s my impression anyway.

Jamie’s enthusiasm makes me laugh in a good way and although this wasn’t Bill’s most spectacular dance, his timing’s so good. He’s looking slimmer...if only someone would snip that ponytail.🤣. I’m not sure about Maisie. She’s a good dancer but I can’t get enthusiastic about her somehow. I quite liked last week’s Barbie dance, but this Samba wasn’t inspiring.

This quality newspaper report puts the judge's salary at way more than that.

Every star taking part receives a standard £25,000 payment, but if they manage to stay on the dancefloor for four weeks this rises to £40,000.

For anyone that makes it to the quarter finals their fee jumps to £60,000.

The five celebs who reach the semi finals will pocket £75,000, with the winner walking away with £100,000 - and the famous glitterball trophy.

I'm assuming they paired HRVY with the lightest dancer as he's not very tall or strong. So had to be Diane or Janette - the other girls look taller. Don't think they've got any tiny young dancers around...

I assume a lot of the pairings are based on lifts being possible - do the male pros have a "lift weight limit" like the RDA horses? Also trying to limit the ladies being taller than the men in in their respective heels...

Have Bill/Oti done any lifts?

Does seem to be some matchy matchy hair going on (Gorka/Maisie, Karen/Jamie)

I hate Karen’s current hairstyle, it screams “trying so hard to be cool” to me. I don’t think it suits her, looks far better on Jamie.😂. Gorka’s is meh as well.

HRVY 5'8? Janette only 5ft, Dianne 5ft 2 and a half
Nancy Xu is 5ft 4 but might have been okay depending on how tall her heels were.
Janette looked much older than him in the series match-up show but I haven't noticed since, they make a lovely partnership.
Most of them have been well-matched, the only substitution I might have made would have been Nadija for Luba but even then, Jason spoke really highly of her.

No vwls said he was worried about doing lifts so the tinier the better. I think Karen is taller and looks strong - like she could be lifting HRVY... Well suited physically to Jamie. Don't get me wrong she looks seriously fit, (want her abs/legs) but would definitely require more strength to lift than Dianne or Janette. I think Oti is taller as well, maybe has to limit her heels not to be too tall for Bill!

Seem to remember Iain Waite getting all the tall model types in the early years as well.

I didn’t realise the Celebs were paid like that. I assumed it was a flat fee depending on how famous they were. No wonder they’re all desperate to ‘get to Blackpool’. I know it isn’t big money compared to I’m a celeb. Was it Katie Price who turned them down because it wasn’t enough for 3 months work. Mind you she’d probably do it for 50p and a lolly these days.

I’m sure it was James Jordan who said that their fee isn’t great for the amount of work they do. But they make big money on the tour so they all want to do it. I think he left after slagging Craig because he didn’t pick him for the tour.

Will JJ be able to do lifts at all? His right arm is missing most of its muscle mass.

I want Caroline to go this week. Her dance was themed around a 1970s soft porn film "storyline" and her face-pulling made me feel sick.

Clara was let down again by music choice and that awful theme. Why does whoever is in charge always shoehorn disco into what she does? The moment they stopped doing it for her Charleston, she was brilliant.

I'd like to see Caroline in the bottom two, her gurning and that bloody leg left are grinding....

At this stage, people in the middle of the board are always at risk. I'm hoping Clara has enough votes to save her. If she's in a Dance Off with Caroline, she'll probably go.

Anyone mentioned Caroline moaning that she’s not lost weight.

She has exactly done any energetic dancing.
