I suppose doing the trial at night is so they can edit it and get it ready for broadcast during the next day. If it was all done during the day it might take up take up too much time to film and be ready by 9? Especially if the trial is a long one. I imagine editing must take a bit of time ?
I've no idea really , but there must be a reason it's this way around and works for them.

I wonder where A and D are staying? Do the film crew stay in the castle?
Hotels are now open in wales I think ?

Somebody at work knows some of the crew and he said the crew and A&D were staying somewhere in Chester - not sure if it is a hotel or rented big house though. I need to have another chat with him to find out more gossip

I'm the same as a lot of posters, that the castle room they sleep in looks like a studio set, like something on the end game of the Generation Game. It's weird how they've added props to make it more authentic, but actually made it more fake looking.

And yy to the wondering why they're having it too easy, in a cosy room with beds. They're not exposed to elements at all. I was sure when they first showed us where it would be set, it was all ruins, yet every room we've seen has a roof.

I wondered if they deliberately did indoor tasks the first few days because the weather was good, and they were saving the outdoor ones from wet days.

I still don't get why they have to do anything with snakes or cockroaches - surely trials based on the surroundings would be more logical?

Oh, that reminds me, in the viper vault task, one of the snakes in Jordan's looked pretty dead when he got out - it was right in the centre of it, ie prime position to be laid on 😔
If anyone can be bothered watching that part again, let me know what you think 😔

The accent on the jester was not north walian....although I suppose it could have been someone from rhyl they often sound slightly scouse.
Ant and dec have been seen around conwy and on a beach close to where I live (just outside conwy). But I dunno if they are staying close by or just having some down time. Local fb pages are going crazy when they are spotted. My dh knows someone working on it but they don't give much information away sadly.

The castle is ruins but it still has a roof in places. And they have done a lot of work due to the structure not been great in places. There are some great pictures online of what it used to look like. The staircase used to be covered in marble but it all got stolen and all the lead was stolen and windows etc. Its a huge shame really.

I don't know why they didn't this year go for more like Crystal Maze style tasks, but playing more of the creepy castle side so if they failed they had to sleep the night in a dungeon or the task room etc.

It just disappoints me that people (presumably breeders?) are willing to hand over however many of their snakes / rats etc for entertainment like this when they will possibly get injured or at the least mishandled or screamed at.

Also has anyone watched the “Daily Drop” it’s weird. I guess it’s some substitute for “Extra camp” but it looks like it’s been filmed on a green screen. It’s so fake. I don’t understand why.....

The Daily Drop is very weird with the Green Screen and Ant and Dec recaps.
But the presenter and conversation with the panel are much better than extra camp of the last few years.
Give it a go if you can find it on ITV hub/player lol

They all seem to be people that love company and having a laugh which why I'm enjoying it so much.
I hate watching arguments as it's boring and tiresome so I think apart from a couple of boring contestants they've chosen well this year.

I’m glad it’s not my eyes that thought it was a green screen. I can understand why it’s not done in wales in the castle. But why make it looks so crap.

It looks so low budget. I can’t think many people watch it. Why not do it after the IACGMOOH show is broadcast. Being on in the day is plain weird.
