Following on from the last thread!

I was liking Ruthie until the Prince Edward stuff. It was all very cringey (shagging in the palace ... ewwwww) and I got the feeling it was all a bit exaggerated.

I thought Ruthie was awful to discuss those private details about Prince Edward and the Royal Family. Either it was all bullshit and she was just looking for airtime, or it was true and she has betrayed a confidence. If she was invited to Balmoral surely it was in the expectation that she would respect privacy? Guess she hasn’t got much going for her if she has to rely on her tenuous RF connections.

Omg I agree. I was cringing. It's like they brought in Ruthie and Russell out of desperation and they were contracted to reveal loads of secrets on day 1. Russell sure likes to talk about himself. I haven't forgotten how he dumped his wife and kids years ago either.

Fair enough *@ArtieFufkinPolymerRecords* but there's really nothing being shown that couldn't be shown Pre watershed so not seeing the issue there.

There hasn't been this series, no, but if there was to be, for example a massive row with lots of swearing as there has been in the past, or a conversation with sexual content, they couldn't show it at 8 o'clock.

Also lot's of adults either aren't ready to sit down to watch TV at 8 pm, or those with younger children might like to watch when their children are settled in bed.

Maybe they are told to talk about themselves? It Wouldn't surprise me!

Ruthie and Russel must have been directed towards that Jester picture, where were the others?

It's just a round up show on tonight.
I won't bother watching this as I watched them all anyway. I wonder if they have been smuggled into a hotel for their ' day off ' lol 😂

When they used to do make that programme about what happened to the contestants after they were booted off the show, you often used to hear the producers telling them where to stand and what to say and do ( clapping etc. )
It's all very carefully staged managed.

I wonder if they are going to send them on an overnight expedition and due to the timings they need to film it over the time they would normally do a show?

Yeah I mean unless they have changed their minds and the tv guide has got it wrong for tonight.
I think millions of people will tune in be annoyed that it's mainly a re cap show.
I think it's out of order to mislead the public.
As in general that kind of highlight show would no way get 9 million viewers.

I am very suspicious of how fake and set up some of it seems to be. Agree with a pp - was it just a coincidence that Ruthie was alone doing washing so the jester could talk to her? and then each time they went back (which had to be at specific times to fit in with the coin challenge), nobody else was around?

Also, was it a coincidence that Victoria made that throwaway comment about someone smelling at the very point Mo walked in stinking and there was loads of chatter about how bad he smelt? I know Victoria wasn't talking about Mo but still

My tv quick just says it's the the ' best bits' of the first week on later tonight.
Maybe it's a budget thing? They might have had to pay a lot for the hire of this place and cutting back on filming ?

Maybe but kinda ruins the momentum of a reality tv show living in confined spaces etc

I thought they didn’t close Jessica’s stocks properly because she took so long getting ready, that they were running out of time. So they just went with how it was.

I don't recall a 'recap day' but I didn't watch it properly the last few years ( Dh did , but he can't remember )

My TV guide says

On day 8 in Welsh camp. The celebs are
Trying to keep body and soul together while the weather tests their mettle

A&d take a look at best bits along with unseen moments

So guessing some new bits

Where did the day off come from ?

You're all right - it's just a recap show of the celebs first week tonight! I'm really disproportionately disappointed - I have NOTHING else to do all day every day at the moment and the nightly show is something to look forward to! Oh well.
