I'm a bit worried we'll run out the other thread tonight, and it'll be too fast-paced for me to get a new one going during the show, so I'm getting prepared early!

Max and Maisie for the dance off I reckon

(It doesn't look very crisp or polished)

Very late to the thread and always record then watch in bursts of 3 or 4 dances, so won't post much. Don't have much new to say anyway!

Bill is brilliant.

I thought the "Ken and Barbie" dance might actually be based on The Sims..

Now Neil might have been ok with a Ken doll routine. He's weirdly asexual.

I don't care for Maisie - and not surprised to see her in the DO. I think she comes across as a little arrogant but apart from that her dancing isn't really that great, I think 4 or 5 scored higher so she's definitely not safe. I don't see any real improvement and she appears to think her dancing is better than it is. Her legs were so far apart last night in that dance you could have drove a bus through.
I like plenty of other young, beautiful women if that's ok? (Are we only allowed to dislike the oldies or uglies? Lol)

Every single thing Caroline says is a dig. Poor Johannes. What dance is she doing next week?

I dont think Maisie was as high up the leader board as she usually is, so maybe people assumed she was safer than she was and voted for others. Hope she isn't this year's Aston Merrygold

I don’t think it is faux modesty - I think she’s genuine.

This made me chuckle from Heidi Stephens :

The curse of the competent young woman... how dare she be good and confident.

I think it's more that people assume she's getting the younger votes with NVWLS and so dont vote for her, instead voting for people they think wont be as popular/have been under marked/are closer to the bottom of the leaderboard and "need" the votes more.

It's the curse of assumed popularity - it happens to at least one of the more competent dancers every year

Dont think he cares either way. I know its mainly about the celeb but I like it when the pros want to stay in as long as possible.

I don't think it's because she's a 'competent young woman' - there have been many good young women in the past who have been popular with the public. Alesha Dixon, Rachel Stevens, Louisa Lytton, Kara Tointon, chelsee Healey, abbey Clancy, Caroline Flack.... it's all about the personality. Maisie has that faux modesty thing going on and people don't warm to that.

Definitely this!! Loved all of these ladies, seemed really warm and genuine and all showed improvement.
