I've watched all the above plus:

Strike -oooh bit of a lust thing going on thereBlush

Frost

Poirot

George Gently

Broadchurch

Unforgotten

Cracker (so long ago now but I remember it being very tense. I was 18 when that came out I think. I'm old).

I didn't like the Detectorists

I like the daytime things like Shakespeare and Hathaway, Murder, She Wrote, Columbo etc. but want a good series to get stuck into on these dark nights. Nothing that will have me jumping at shadows too much because I'm not brave Grin

Sister , it was on fairly recently.

midsomermurderess · 12/11/2020 19:37

My Life is Murder, on Sky somewhere. It's an Australian series but has a similar feel to the series set in Majorca.

TheTurnOfTheScrew · 12/11/2020 19:39

The Bridge - first three series are on iplayer.

HouseOfGames · 12/11/2020 19:42

Try white lines on Netflix. I suspect you will either love it or hate it.

goteam · 13/11/2020 21:40

Mind hunter
Young wallander
The Alienist
Midsomer Murders for something a bit more silly...

Tyzz · 13/11/2020 21:47

Hinterland = Welsh version of Shetland.
George Gently = beautifully done 60s crime drama.
Foyle's War = 1940s crime drama
Endeavour = 1960s crime
Agatha Raison = similar to Shakespeare and Hathaway, lightweight crime comedy.
Grantchester more 60s crime featuring Jamie Dornan.
The Coroner = daytime crime drama, really engaging but sadly no more made.

goteam · 13/11/2020 22:08

I thought I was on top of my crime drama but had never heard of The Coroner until this thread

Ghostlyglow · 14/11/2020 20:07

If you haven't seen The Bridge it's on I-player at the moment. Best series ever.

dotoallasyouwouldbedoneby · 14/11/2020 23:15

No Offence

sluj · 15/11/2020 09:52

How did I forget "No offence"? Absolutely brilliant, I wonder if they will ever make more?

bebarkered · 15/11/2020 12:56

I think this was "only" a 3 parter, but, did you see Above Suspicion OP? A Lynda La Plante ITV drama, AMAZING! X

Covidchameleon · 15/11/2020 12:58

I got BritBox recently and it’s absolutely brilliant for this type of show. Lots of forgotten favourites on there - it’s got Cracker, Wire in the Blood etc,

dontcallmelen · 15/11/2020 13:04
