I adored him. Especially as the Ben in Butterflies. He saw a good age and went in his sleep. All we can hope for but still I'm sad.

I have had to revive an old username for today. I thought he was a great actor, Butterflies is one of my all time favourite comedies. RIP.

Oh no he was such a brilliant actor! Butterflies was filmed in the town where I live. I walk my dog past the house and in the park where Wendy Craig would meet her man by the duck pond.

Aww I know I used to love watching As Time Goes By when I was little 😞

Oh yes. Leonard in the park. Different times.

Is it me but we seemed to have funnier and more enjoyable tv in those days. No reality tv, and good family shows like Butterflies / The Good Life / Fawlty Towers.

I had quite a crush on him. 😢

Aww, he was bloody marvellous! My personal favourite was as Jimmy in Reginald Perrin. RIP
