Will anyone be watching? I’m quite looking forward to it! Will be different with it not being in Australia this year. I haven’t heard anything about who is going in, has anyone?

They can't go wandering off though, they're in a bubble. Surely that means apart from Ant&Dec and crew, who are presumably all living in a bubble too, they can't mix with others or take any risks with the public? If one of them gets covid the show will be over.

YardleyX · 19/11/2020 11:34

I’m not sure people realise just how much space there is around them.

the80sweregreat · 19/11/2020 11:42

They had time to edit in Australia because of the time difference and trials done during the day. Here it's probably a bit more complex to get the show out by nighttime. Especially if the trail goes on for a long time.

the80sweregreat · 19/11/2020 11:44

Trial not trail

YardleyX · 19/11/2020 12:08

It probably is a bit more difficult, yeah.

They seem to be doing the trials late at night. After the vote has closed and the live programme has finished. Tricky then, in the dark, I suppose!

I hope they send some of them off into a derelict part of the castle to survive for a night without all their holiday camp comforts!

the80sweregreat · 19/11/2020 12:33

Maybe they can only film in certain areas because of covid? There must be a fair number of people down there working on the show too.

JaneJeffer · 19/11/2020 13:06

They should do a I'm a celebrity/Most Haunted mash up.

the80sweregreat · 19/11/2020 13:13

They haven't mentioned ghosts have they? Maybe been told not to tell them about the ' grey lady' or the little stable boy or whoever tends to haunt these older stately homes and castles! 😃
I'm sure it's steeped in history.

ImAllOut · 19/11/2020 13:46

www.gwrychcastle.co.uk/ghosts/ it is "haunted" so I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't do something ghostly at some stage.

the80sweregreat · 19/11/2020 14:06

Woo! They should do a ghost hunter night.

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/11/2020 14:39

No sympathy for jordon. He made a huge fuss now he gets voted

That’s how it works. He’s getting tv time

Th I say every year if had a trial should be excempt from next to allow others to try

Does a hand waggle to her kids really annoy people that much. Or Shane’s v to eye

Def doesn’t look cold

They were in t shirts late at night - must be some heating

Says blondes in slippers cardi and heating on in a house

MrsKingfisher · 19/11/2020 15:40

I think given the all round crap situation they're doing pretty well filming it. I like them all except Shane Ritchie who is hoping to resurrect his career after this. I actually prefer this year to last years jungle. I think the dynamic of the people make the show, this years feels good and god knows we need something to smile about.

Remona · 19/11/2020 15:51

I have to agree. As PPs have said, it's all too much like a well lit set, which is what it is. It just doesn't have the same feel at all as the Australian version, but given the current situation, I think we've got to be grateful they're doing what they can with it. It was never going to be the same but we're trying to compare like for like which isn't fair. It certainly isn't a patch on the Australian version, but it's easy viewing on a dark autumn evening.

What's irking me a little is that they're having it much too easy. Under normal circumstances, the camp would be split into two from the start with one group in the normal camp and the others slumming it. The celebs are normally pitted against each other in trials to win food etc. This time they're all just one big happy family. There's certainly not the hardship they seem to have to endure in Australia.

the80sweregreat · 19/11/2020 16:06

Maybe they will split them up now R and R are in there? How I'm not sure , but when it's more competitive it's a bit more exciting. They are having it easy and eating ok which must help too.
Have to see what they do with them.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 19/11/2020 16:15

I really think that part of it is that they're all so pleased to be able to interact 'normally' with other people. So things that might have annoyed them in other years don't seem as big an issue, because they're just so pleased to all be in a group and able to cook together, hug each other etc.

butterpuffed · 19/11/2020 16:26

And they eat even later, apparently about 1am

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 19/11/2020 16:31

If they aired the show at 7pm it would work easier. They could do the trial after the show, dinner and bed by midnight then more time for editing. Plus kids could stay up and watch.

TinaTurnercorner · 19/11/2020 16:38

Trying to accept it IS diff this year, but its just not the same as the actual jungle. Still think they cioyuld have found SOMEWHERE in the world to do this, in a similar way to the jungle.

Loving Mo best atm. Ive never liked Russel Watson, but he came across quite well last night.

Leeds2 · 19/11/2020 16:40

I saw on the Daily Drop show that the jester, who was in one of the pictures on the left hand side whilst Russell had his head stuck in a barrel of fish guts, is going to come to life tonight and take one of the celebrities into his confidence and get them to persuade the other celebs to do things that you wouldn't expect.

woodhill · 19/11/2020 17:29

Do you think their things are laundered away from the camp as how would you dry the washing there.

ImAllOut · 19/11/2020 17:36

A jester coming to life sounds terrifying! I still think it's early days to write the series off as boring. Tensions don't normally run very high until a week or so in when they're all starving and they start clashing. It's also been milder than usual in Wales the past few days. Some of the camp is under cover to keep the worst of the elements off, just like it is in Australia as well. The difference is that the canopy in Australia can't be seen and doesn't affect the light in the way this does.

unique1986 · 19/11/2020 18:00

Yes its difficult to discuss the show on here, when hardly anything been shown..
I wonder if the producers prefer to keep the chat to a minimum.
Just turns it into a crappy itv game show.

unique1986 · 19/11/2020 18:02

I dont expect hour to hour conversation, but brushing teeth one minute then few minutes later the midnight trial is ridiculous.

MaggieFS · 19/11/2020 18:35

I still don't understand why they can't do the trials first thing in the morning in daylight.

Fizbosshoes · 19/11/2020 18:55

I think outdoor trials or at least dingo dollar (whatever the new version is) challenges would be good. The castle looks like it has a lot of grounds.
