Will anyone be watching? I’m quite looking forward to it! Will be different with it not being in Australia this year. I haven’t heard anything about who is going in, has anyone?

Yes . Maybe, I forgot that you can take something to delay it. Besides that I wouldn't poo for 3 weeks, I'd definitely be poo shy.

unique1986 · 18/11/2020 23:06

Yeh I think some of the girls were upset for a few days ...god

unique1986 · 18/11/2020 23:09

Not many people say this but I could do without Ant and Dec.

YardleyX · 18/11/2020 23:09

They just need to make it harder for them.

They are all having too much fun in there.

Great for them, but it’s dull to watch.

There isn’t even a topic to ask them about in the Bush Telegraph thing. They just go in there to talk about what they thought of dinner that night, because there’s nothing else going on! Confused

ZaraCarmichaelshighheels · 18/11/2020 23:15

@Honeyroar

They could have done this crap in any old tv studio, they didn’t need a castle. It could have had a new lease of life, but it’s even worse than usual. I’ve watched this for years, but I’ve had enough. It’s so boring!
I agree I stopped watching a couple of years back because it was so formulaic and I got so bored, decided I would give it another go this year because it was in a castle so thought it might be different, but in fact it’s worse! they look like they are on a set, at least in the jungle it is quite perilous with the wildlife, it’s way too clean and comfortable and they are not being challenged at all, no one is scared to go to sleep in case a snake crawls in their sleeping bag, it’s just completely pointless.
Justmuddlingalong · 18/11/2020 23:27

Normally when it's on I make a point of watching it every night. This year, and I know that they're making the best of it in Covid times, it's just boring. I can't concentrate on it, the camp mates are all very bland and the "banter" between Ant and Dec is too scripted. I've yet to laugh yet this series.

YardleyX · 18/11/2020 23:48

When it was announced that the series would take place in a castle in Wales, all everyone could talk about was “oh, it’s gonna be sooooo cold for them!”

Not seen one person look remotely chilly there yet. They haven’t even got their coats on most of the time, all cosy indoors by the fire

Standrewsschool · 19/11/2020 07:13

Abergele weather

To be fair, the weather has been pretty mild. Today and next week looks colder, although not really cold.

MrsDThomas · 19/11/2020 07:16

They are very well covered up there. Its been raining for days and windy in north Wales so no way they are exposed to the elements.

Ant and Dec are really irritating me too this season. Their banter seems quite fake, not nearly as funny as they used to be
Standrewsschool · 19/11/2020 07:50

They haven’t got bored yet. That’s when things sometimes get more interesting also.

I’ve quite enjoyed the ant and Dec banter.

the80sweregreat · 19/11/2020 08:52

I thought it had its day a few series ago and gave up on it , but I am enjoying this one.
A and D haven't been quite the same since Ant had his troubles a few years ago and I would wager a bet Dec hasn't really completely forgiven him for the negative publicity at the time. It must have tested their friendship so much.

the80sweregreat · 19/11/2020 09:16

Maybe they need to split them up : a bit of rivalry ? (Although it might be harder to do in there than in the jungle camps are?)
The tabloids must be missing the bikini shots too!

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 19/11/2020 09:29

They definetly need to toughen it up.

Remove some beds or send them on an overnight camp out in the grounds.

're the bikini shots, not that I'm personally missing them, but they could put on a big reward of a hot tub and bbq night midway with booze and stuff. That would get them talking a bit more and hopefully see them become a bit more controversial interesting

Sparklingbrook · 19/11/2020 09:32

I am really not feeling it this year with this set up and sleb line up. It just seems a bit fake in all respects.

I agree that half the fun was when they sent two slebs off into the jungle to do a task or wondering whether a snake would slither into their sleeping bags at night.

They all seem ok people but nobody stands out or seems to have much charisma.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 19/11/2020 09:32

Maybe they could set a few beasties loose around the set overnight.

Sparklingbrook · 19/11/2020 09:34

It feels like a panto set. Grin You feel they are going to shut the curtains and change the scenery/backdrop.

LemonBreeland · 19/11/2020 09:40

I don't usually watch any more because it had got formulaic as a pp said. I decided to watch this year as I felt it might shake things up, but it really hasn't.

It annoys me how dark the castle is. Poor Mo blends in with the walls, you can barely see him. I wanted some whining about how cold they are or something.

YardleyX · 19/11/2020 09:40

They really don’t seem to be using the castle or the north wales setting to it’s best.

They could be anywhere from what we’re seeing of them. May as well have set it up in a studio.

Where’s all the north wales countryside activities?!? So much outdoor potential up there. Send them off on a trek to get some bloody castle coins. Not into the next room to do a game show puzzle!!

LemonBreeland · 19/11/2020 09:42

Agreed, I didn't expect the entire thing to be in the castle. I thought they'd be off up hills or at the beach or something.

Yes! That's what I was expecting. Thought they might send them off orienteering or rafting or something. Plenty of scope for perilous tasks in the Welsh outdoors. I agree it might as well have been set in a studio. Sad It's like Celebrity Big Brother but not as interesting.
LemonBreeland · 19/11/2020 10:50

My son did more exciting things on a school residential to Wales age 12.

ImAllOut · 19/11/2020 11:05

The issue with sending them out or doing stuff nearby is that within minutes of them arriving somewhere, people will be tweeting or writing on Facebook or taking photos etc. They don't have that issue with an Australian jungle that they can completely control.

YardleyX · 19/11/2020 11:08

There will be hurdles like that to contend with.

But surely there’s something they could do within the castle grounds!! Or at one of the very many privately run activity centres up there!

the80sweregreat · 19/11/2020 11:17

There seems to b outdoor space for them to do things but it's not been used up to now. Could be a filming issue maybe or ( as someone else said) they can't have them roaming around outside the castle either because of the publicity?
The jungle had much more scope for the bigger trials going off to the bush etc but this is much more contained.
