I've watched a bit further and wonder how Shareen got through the assessment. I don't think she's in the right place for participating in this.

According to RadioTimes.com, there were initially four couples due to get married, but two of the weddings were cancelled due to lockdown restrictions.

I agree with this ^. Shareen says she is open but she seems so closed off. I too can’t understand how she got through the initial process. The disapproving looks when she hears David say something she doesn’t like . Her daughter’s were saying that she is always the boss in a relationship and I can see that.

The young couple seem lovely and a good match. Fingers crossed for them!

Quite interesting that this time they have “professional matchmakers” as experts. In the past they said they were looking at “science” and asking if science lead to love.

Also, if I’m not mistaken it has been the same registrar marrying them in every series. Perhaps she is the only one they can find willing to do it!

I’ve watched to the end. Polar opposite kind of show to the aussie version! Lockdown obviously made it difficult for the couples as well as the production team.

That’s harsh. I don’t think he’s very bright though. And the tattoos are awful.

I saw that it was the same registrar as the other series. I do wonder why she is happy to do each show other than for a bit of fame and possibly money. Does she get paid?

Hmm my post does read quite harshly but I will stand by the gist of it. He grates on me and I think she can do far better but probably doesn't actually want a relationship.

I would expect the programme participants and their families to read threads about the show.

I think David seems like a nice and fairly successful man , InfiniteSheldon so I think it is your post that comes across badly. The tattoo isn't mentioned in episode 1 so I didn't want to mention it.

I now understand some of the comments above! I thought I'd missed something last week, but I was just on the Ch4 schedule.

I like David. I liked his survival bag present. I’m not getting this ‘if you bring the bag you attract negativity’ vibe from Shareen.
