Crime Drama recommendations?

HowFastIsTooFast · 27/08/2020 21:50

DP and I have discovered a shared love for crime dramas, so far we've loved Happy Valley, Luther and The Fall.

Any recommendations for other series to try? We have the usual British channels, Netflix & Now TV (so the major SKY channels).

Thanks in advance!

Spam88 · 27/08/2020 23:07

Broadchurch!

Bellie99 · 27/08/2020 23:08

Also liked Perry Mason (new series) which was sky Atlantic I think

Ginfordinner · 27/08/2020 23:09

DH and I are currently binge watching Line of Duty on iPlayer. It's brilliant. I am enjoying it even more the second time around.

Others to watch: Vera, George Gently, Scott and Bailey, Lewis, Endeavour, The Bridge.

Planetzog · 27/08/2020 23:10

Hidden on BBC iplayer is gripping - there are 2 series. Highly recommended!

Stroan · 27/08/2020 23:16

Aside from the main ones already mentioned, we've watched and enjoyed these in the past year or so.

Safe
The Stranger
Unbelievable
Traces
Dublin Murders (a bit woo, but watchable)

Siablue · 27/08/2020 23:19

Strike is on BBC iPlayer.

The Bridge

TheSeedsOfADream · 27/08/2020 23:21

After getting fed up with wasting time trying to decide what to watch on Netflix I dug out some old DVDs and am rewatching Waking the Dead, Silent Witness, all the old Lynda la Plante stuff too.

Ginfordinner · 27/08/2020 23:23

Oh yes, Strike. I must rewatch those. There is a new series starting on Sunday.

Username6209 · 27/08/2020 23:38

Wallenberg

stormsurfer · 28/08/2020 07:44

Oh yes, strike, hidden, DCI banks, line of Duty are all brilliant!

Plus Foyles War. Loved it.

JacobReesMogadishu · 28/08/2020 07:48

The first season of The Sinner on Netflix was really good.

HowFastIsTooFast · 28/08/2020 09:15

I'm running out of stuff to watch now and would recommend Prime Suspect, with Helen Mirren.

Very 90s (my favourite decade).

FancyMinion · 28/08/2020 11:18

Another vote for Line of Duty

JacobReesMogadishu · 28/08/2020 13:01

Killing eve as well

HowFastIsTooFast · 28/08/2020 15:16

DP has watched Killing Eve but I only made it a couple of episodes in, I didn't like (or dislike) any of the characters enough to be interested in what happened to them.

Power
I also just discovered Banshee, I like it so far.

Ginfordinner · 28/08/2020 17:45

I have given up with the last series of Killing Eve.

Did you mean Wallander Username6209?

Hels20 · 29/08/2020 08:00

Line of Duty
