Hi all, I am watching Married at First Sight Season 3 on

I was surprised that a couple of the contestants made it onto the show. One very highly strung and one aggressive and unstable.

It was weird how they had to do their own cooking and washing up at the dinner party.

I found the pink rabbit nauseating and the angel cards weird.

I prefer the new format even though it’s more fake.

I’ve tried not to post spoilers but do report the post if you think it’s spoilery.

So sorry - missed the bit that you are only up to ep 2.

@Egghead68 100% fine. I've actually watched it many years ago but I have forgotten most of it!

I love the fact it begins with the ultra sound from the couple from season one.

Episode 1

I'm afraid I don't like Keller. I think he may be quite damaged by his previous life in the navy. The nose ring does look a bit silly to me!

Nicole is beautiful and very nice. I think Keller is very lucky.

Likewise Monica is stunning.

Mark is a total hottie so Monica is very lucky. A hunky fireman. But he likes skateboarding and comic books, is he a big kid?

I’m in. Only seen Episode 1 so far and surprised to see Nicole and Keller matched. She’s saying all the right things and determined not to judge a book by its cover, but I don’t buy it.

Interested to hear the Monica and Mark were shown photos of each other during the matching process! They clearly like the look of one another but in the long run I can see her becoming exasperated with his boyish laidbackness. (My cousin is a “Mark”, married to a “Monica”)

Come to think of it, my sister is a “Monica” married to a “Mark”!

Episode 2

Not warming to Jess, Dave is not someone who is that nice. I think when people have had weight issues it can affect them negatively or positively. Alycia in season 5 seemed so lovely but not sure about Dave.

Andy and Craig, Andy is nice but I know the neat freak person would drive someone mad! A man who is obsessed with folding his pants in a box shape or whatever is just crazy.

Craig needs a lot of affection and Andy doesn't easily show it!

I'm just wondering how many gay men they had to select from?

I love Andy's cushions with lions on! I love lions!

Bella is very beautiful.

Michael, he's a fashion accessories photographer, I'd be worried he'd be around stunning models all the time. But he seems a happy chap.

Actually Michael is lovely, he came from a tough start and made life good for himself and his mum and sister. That's lovely.

It's a bit of history that same sex marriage was illegal at that time in Australia. So they had to go to NZ to get married.

I think Bella and Michael are actually super cute together.

Agree on Keller and Nicole.

Ah - I wondered why they were getting married in NZ. I thought one of them must be from there.

I didn’t particularly like Jess (she reminded me of the film Muriel’s wedding) or Dave.

If Craig is the one with glasses I think he’d be very hard to be in a relationship with or live with.

Couldn’t warm to Bella (if she is the radio announcer).

The women are so much more natural, beautiful but no Botox!

I loved the bubbles at Bella and Michael's wedding. They look so happy. A really good match, I hope!

I have watched it all but cannot remember what happens!

I really like Keller and Nicole, I think she will bring out the best in him, their Cole values match and I think they’re both genuine. I am rooting for them!
Monica (Kate Middleton) and man child Mark, I cant see it working, he’s a gamer and a comic fan, she’s a grown up, I think he will drive her mad.
I will watch more later

Jess's flowers were lovely.

Australian women all seem to have something about men being tall!

Dave really liked Jess's confidence and even though he said at the beginning that she was not what he was expecting, he found her confidence sexy at the ceremony.

I have watched Married at First Sight season 3, episode 2.

Actually, I think Dave is quite nice, maybe I was a bit harsh on him. I find Jess a bit overhearing.

It’s quite shocking that a single decision or choice, or attitude etc can be so devastating to a new relationship.

Craig’s decision to invite his ex of 13 years to the wedding was a deal breaker for Andy, or so he said. I am not sure if he was using that as an excuse. Maybe because he was not attracted to Craig. BUT he came back and gave him a second chance which was good.

I loved Bella’s dress.

Andy has some very good friends.

Thanks for the welcome! I have watched season 4 and am currently watching season 5 as it shows on TV. Watched the 1st of season 3 this morning and plan to go back to it this afternoon. I think I have become addicted to this 😂😂😂

Just watched episode 2 and 3.
Dave really wasn’t keen on Jess at the beginning but like you said, her confidence brought something out in him, but, if he can’t stand up to her it could cause issues.
I think Bella and Michael were very full on very quickly, I hope they don’t burn out just as fast!
Andy worries me, I think he is a control freak, to be ready to throw the towel in after a couple of hours shows he is irrational and difficult to be persuaded he is wrong. The fact that Craig is still friends with his ex shows that he is a caring guy. Andy’s pant drawer and his insistence on everything in its place could be an issue for Craig’s laid back style. I don’t think these will make it.
Now to episode 4....

Just seen the first episode - I much prefer this format. The people involved seem more "sane" for want of a better term (early days, though, early days . . . ).

And the average attractiveness of the blokes is much higher.

I think this is like any other reality series, people see the fame that can be had and the more extreme personalities apply.
I still don’t get how they can call themselves experts? Their success rate is 1, if that was your success rate in a regular job you’d be sacked!
