i agree, i used to love nigella, now i am soooooo disillusioned......did you see the picnic 'basket' ffs

and i don't think the other mothers knew her.

more tv fakery, methinks

and when she ate all te honey comb stuff in the taxi... and the soup 'to keep her going between meals'......

god, saw this last week and had to turn over - she fluffed herself right up, its like a parody!

So, the children have been packed off to school and you've 10 minutes til you leave for work. Do you a) shove in a load of washing b) iron a bit of yesterday's washing c) make a sesame noodle salad to take for lunch/eat on the bus at 10:30???

and the picnic!

I would have been well p'd off if I had been at that picnic... A chicken leg and a bit of coleslaw?

Where were the butties, pringles, strawberries, pork pies, shop bought hoummous and carrot sticks?

I'd have been in the chippy on the way home!

I wonder if she watches the programmes back? She's become like someone doing an over-exaggerated impression of her and it drives me nuts. It's almost enough to stop watching it BUT I love her recipes and do like to see her make stuff because you really can see how quick it is and what it's supposed to look like. I also really liked her in previous series, just found her coquettish ways kind of quirky then. Now just REALLY ANNOYING. Nigella, if you are a MNetter, this is intended as constructive criticism!! (and watch you don't dribble pea soup on the keyboard!)

she ate so so so so so much food, and on public transport as well
maybe it was her who martianbishop saw eating a whole chicken on the tube.
i did laugh at the picnic basket, i reckon i could have carried it for about 5mins before collapsing in a heap.

the soup was v funny
she made it 'as a snack'
had a cup before leaving the kitchen
a cup on the bus
a cup sitting on a park bench (i thought she was too busy for that?)
and then a cup in a taxi home

lolol. it is pure comedy!

blame teh producers I say...

the script is so not Nigella.... the idea of eating in soup in a bus, or a taxi.... fuck me!!!

rofl. when she said she had such a busy day ahead..off she trots with her flask of pea soup...and what's she busy doing? sitting on a park bench looking at a fountain....busy busy busy!

I read that the bus and the passengers were hired, some of the interior shots are not at her house (tho some are) and the "friends" are not necessarily particularly close friends (I think her father and kids are real, though!), more like acquaintances.

Don't really care, though.

It is ridiculous, and her healthy attitude towards food is so ott it's virtually neurotic. I have gone off her too, she's a bit of a joke, and completely insincere.

She does seemed to have turned into her own spitting image puppet. I find it quite difficult to watch now.
