Anyone just seen this?

The last bit particularly made me giggle.

Nigella, FFS!!!

I agree, that bit at the end with the honeycomb ...

Next time I go to a dinner party, I'll take a half eaten box of chocolates or a half drunk bottle of wine. I thought you rude cow (and that was even though it was staged)

And she is starting to look like she is wearing a fat suit. She is still very beautiful but nevertheless...

Elizabetth · 02/10/2007 13:42

I did think the dinner party hostess should have shoved her back into the street after Nigella telling her she'd eaten most of the present in the taxi. Who does something like that?

Nigella's always been bonkers. You can see it in her eyes.

I've already ranted on another thread but have thought of another reason why she is insane - that barbeque for her "mates" last week. I thought the steak she produced would have been a generous steak for ONE person. What she actually did was dunk it in some oil and thyme for a nanosecond and then slice it really really thinly and serve it with some random greenery - that's not supper! One steak seemed to feed about 6 people - and they all looked really pleased with their doll-sized portions.

cremolafoam · 02/10/2007 13:47

she looked a tiny bit mortified eating noodles on the bus. There was NO way that was an ordinary bus. i bet they hired it for filming.
lol at her mummie friends- so didn't know her.Horrified looks al round as the kids tore into the Rocky Road
LOL at her Spanish 'friend'last week who she honestly had only met 2 minutes before

lol are you serious nigella that you 'don't have time to chop an onion'
ffs

cremolafoam · 02/10/2007 13:49

am very interested in her 'foundation garments' though. They seem to be doing some very hard work.

TheDullWitch · 02/10/2007 13:58

I think this series' food is really soulless. All those spring onions. How much hassle is it to cut up an onion really? And all those bags of salad and precooked noodles.

Also last night seemed entirely aimed at flogging the show to America. Coleslaw and chicken using buttermilk, maple syrup and pecan nuts. All much more US flavours. And so LARDY!

And the way all the outside shots are her MASSSIVE Belgravia house and the inside is her studio on an industrial estate. WHere she pretends to put her kids to bed but poor Cosmimimi was pretending to sleep on a crap sofa bed.

Like her cooking but can't stand to watch her....all the smouldering eyes at the camera whilst tossing her hair with her smug little smile....bleughhhhh!

Have got a couple of her books tho

pipsqueak · 02/10/2007 20:48

so much oil -puke!

BlueberryPancake · 02/10/2007 20:53

Did anyone notice yesterday when she was making her sweet honey comb that she picked up a HAMMER from her utensil rack? I mean, really, does any of you keep a hammer there?

And her make up...

Thunderpants · 02/10/2007 22:47

with my cooking i need a hammer, hacksaw and blowtorch

Thunderpants · 02/10/2007 22:48

and i do find chopping an onion SO TIRING....

Thunderpants · 02/10/2007 22:49

but then i can cook my meals in any old tin, tonight i'll probably use my copper tarte tatin, whatever i have to hand....

mamhaf · 04/10/2007 21:55

Tee-hee. But since this week's programme, dd has made the rocky road (which we all scoffed) and I used up the cabbage hanging around in the fridge to make coleslaw to take to work. Didn't put buttermilk and syrup in it though - what gets me is most of her food is so unhealthy.
Agree about the picnic - not enough for any kids I know.
And I reckon the woman with her at the picnic was a nanny.

rantinghousewife · 04/10/2007 22:01

The bit at the end was funny, I reckon if she'd turned up at mine, having eaten my 'gift', I'd have told her I fed her dinner to the dog.

chestnutty · 04/10/2007 22:11

Friend in RL made the honeycomb straight after the show - its still not set!!!!!!!!!
