Yy I thought Susan's version of events was very odd. She said they decided early on that it wouldn't work and Sean just wanted to stay for the money. But they were constantly touching and snogging each other, and she did her big 'moving state' announcement at the dinner party before the commitment ceremony. Unless she means all of it was manufactured lies.

I read an article or insta post (can't remember which) where Lauren said Abandrew admitted to her that he was only on it to try to publicise his music.

Did anyone ever uncover the truth about why Lauren ran away? I thought they’d have brought that up properly when they were slating Abandrew on the couch!

According to the who.con article Sean and his new girlfriend celebrated their one-year anniversary in August 2018, I.e. they got together in August 2017. This must have been pretty soon after MAFS was filmed.

I read in another article that Susan tried to make arrangements to visit him but he said he was busy with his horses. However later on she found out he had made time to go away with Simon.

It makes a bit more sense of the commitment ceremony when Susan stated that they had decided to be friends but still voted stay. I can see that (if it's true about his kids and funding a holiday) then whilst they might have had chemistry and friendship it would be hard to respect the man. I wondered if she wanted kids and if he wanted more.

I am more sad that Simon and Alene didn't work out but as he says he is still glad that he did it hopefully they took away positives.

I really loathe AnTHony but I do think this experience has helped Nadia find her backbone. Abandrew was really waffling when challenged on what he said at the Boy's Night wasn't he? He couldn't justify any of it and so said that wasn't him? I think that is exactly who he Is!

Damn right it's exactly who he is! What a slime.

(However he looked very attractive with beard, as did Nick, and Michael, and I've never considered any of them "sexy". Had I been young and on the prowl I might have been tempted. I think I need some sort of hormone suppressant. Previously the only one I'd have every fancied would have been Simon)

Doesn't surprise me - that was pretty obvious from the way he was always writing those rubbish songs and singing them at people. Shame for him that he is totally devoid of any musical gift.

If his talent had been a tenth the size of his ego he'd have taken the musical world by storm.

@TheLittleRedToothbrush no. Alene and Simon lasted the longest (several months after the end of the experiment).

The track record for MAFS as a whole is pretty poor although a couple from the first MAFS USA are still together.

Apparently, Michelle started dating some guy who was the 'Anthony' of the previous year's MAFS.

The US (and British) one's seemed less "car crash" and more honest attempts to match people.

Trouble is, the "map is not the territory" as they say in psychology - you can have everything right "on paper", but then the REAL scenes (biology, chemistry) come trotting along and all of the theoretical stuff goes out of the window.

Oh so article says the reunion was filmed in January 2017 and implies the main filming ended in November 2016. I guess Sean might not have been with his new woman at that point then.

One last tidbit - I read that Susan went off Sean because he is pro using animals for entertainment and she is strongly against it.

So did I - but I think it was "real" and sometimes relationships just run their course.

I think they probably both reverted to type - he went back to strippers and she went back to putting herself first and destroying her sister's fragile self-confidence.

Shaz and Nick - I reckon he was quite preoccupied with supporting his father through his MND diagnosis and she couldn’t be bothered with all that.
