I’m also an early riser but not quite as early as you today magi

I’m really envious of your sea swims - we have an outdoor pool not far from us but it’s been impossible to book a slot since it reopened.

The indoor pool that I use is reopening on Monday and I’ve managed to book a slot - I have to arrive pool ready and have 10 minutes to get changed afterwards Hmm

PrivateSpidey · 08/08/2020 08:38

10 minutes?! Shock I'd never make it. Good luck Fizzy!!

Raahh · 08/08/2020 09:37

I don't sleep well, so I have been nodding off pretty early possibly alcohol induced on occasion and then I get woken up when dh goes to bed. I then end up downstairs due to the snoring, and am usually awake at 5am. That is if I don't end up awake from around 2am. It's rubbish. When dh had to leave the house or work, he went to bed quite early - so I slept better, because I just slept downstairs from the off.

I need to win the lottery and get a bigger house. or lose dh. Not really Grin

It did mean the dog got walked super early this morning, before it got too warm.

I also ended up on the sofa last night. I felt like pushing DH out onto the floor. He moved around constantly in his sleep and wakes me up. I wish we had a spare room. I'm seriously considering getting twin beds a la Doris Day. I'm knackered!

JaneJeffer · 08/08/2020 09:46

*moves

Raahh · 08/08/2020 09:48

Jane it's awful, isn't it? I am sure I used to be able to tune him out at one point- it's only in the past ok, 9/10 years Grin since dd2 was born that things have got really bad.

I think the broken sleep is worse than just getting only a few straight hours. It's like I have never got over the newborn stage with my dc!

10 minutes is better than some pools Spidey - some make you go home in your wet cossie Shock

Sympathies on the poor sleep - I used to be great at sleeping but not so much now. I’m either awake in the night or awake too early - I blame my age (and DH)!

Now that everyone is back home we don’t have a spare bedroom either - when DH is snoring I have been known to (gently) punch him Grin

JaneJeffer · 08/08/2020 10:03

While I was awake during the night I saw a thread about somebody's DH going off to sleep in their caravan and wished I had one to sleep in. Our sofas are not very comfy Grin

PrivateSpidey · 08/08/2020 10:07

Doris Day Grin

Ugh yes I hate these muggy nights! I didn't sleep much either - there was so much noise outside - a motorbike kept whizzing up and down the road and there just seemed to be loads of people walking past talking loudly! Cheek of them Grin

And now today is really hot as well and I have got loads of stuff to do. I should probably get on with it before it gets even warmer Hmm

Raahh · 08/08/2020 10:10

I am fortunate the sofa is comfortable. But a caravan would be great. It is one of my dog walking fantasises 'what we will do when we win the lottery. Top of the list is a house big enough for everyone to have a at least one room - and a seperate annexe. Grin.

Oh- happy birthday Roger Federer! He is finally 39. He seems to have been 38 for about a decade. Cake

PrivateSpidey · 08/08/2020 10:23

Yes happy birthday Rog Cake And Felix AA is 20 today. Youngster!!

The caravan idea is great. When we were getting some work done on our house, DH suggested renting a caravan for us to stay in and putting it on the front garden - I thought it was a stupid idea (and we couldn't afford it anyway) but once the work had started I realised it would have been brilliant. Grin Ah well!

PrivateSpidey · 08/08/2020 10:30

And I still haven't started any of my tasks for today Hmm

Raahh · 08/08/2020 10:38

Happy Birthday Felix! CakeGrin

  1. Wow.

My washing machine has just finished a cycle, and played it's jaunty tune. The novelty has not worn off yet . It is like a national anthem at a medal ceremony. In my kitchen. Apparently the tune is 'Die Forelle (the Trout) by Schubert.

Grin you could pretend you're on the podium getting the gold Raahh!

Raahh · 08/08/2020 10:56

Private I have a stool (that my late mil bought me, because when I moved in, I couldn't reach any of the kitchen cupboards.

I might stand on that.

Grin definitely. Make sure you wave to all four corners of the stadium Grin

Raahh · 08/08/2020 11:44

I will practice my wave. And try not to cry Grin.

I’m jealous of the Schubert playing washing machine Grin

Happy birthday to Roger and Felix Cake

I’ve just returned the library books that I borrowed before lockdown Shock

Wearing a mask when it’s hot is not a pleasant experience - at least no one can see the sweat running down my face! I try to do all the things that require wearing a mask at the same time because I don’t really like it but now I’m overheating Blush

JaneJeffer · 08/08/2020 11:58

I still have my library books from February Blush it's not my fault...

Raahh · 08/08/2020 12:21

I keep forgetting about the masks. and putting lipstick on, which is pointless. Then it goes all over the mask.

OP posts:
Fizzywinegum · 08/08/2020 13:10

Hope you don’t have to pay a fine Jane Grin

JaneJeffer · 08/08/2020 13:14

We don't have fines any more Fizzy

Raahh you need this mask. I wish I looked that good in a mask!

Fizzywinegum · 08/08/2020 13:38

That’s funny Jane - I always wonder if other people can tell how pissed off my face is when I’m wearing a mask? Maybe they can see it in my eyes!

Raahh · 08/08/2020 14:51

That is an excellent mask.

I do not look like that. Grin.
