Re the rankings, I had thought they changed them in some way for this year, but now I can't remember what/where I read that. Helpful

Private they have, for now, frozen the ranking, so points haven't 'dropped' for events that haven't taken place- but presumably , once they start up again, it will be business as usual.

There was a bit of discussion about moving to a 2 year rankings system for this year, to offset the impact of players missing out on events if they feel they have to. Uncle Toni was up for that- and Andy. .

But- some players then benefit when there was no intention to play- such as Federer. But I suppose there will be no way to please everyone. me.

I am still wondering about London- will it go ahead at all, and how is it fair, if players haven't had the chance to play a decent schedule? It won't really be the 'top 8'. It will be whatever top 8 - are available to play, or feel safe to travel, have already had Covid, hugged a fig tree or haven't ended up stuck in a quarantine/lockdown situation!

I see that another Battle of the Brits starts next Monday. Mixed teams - Leon Smith and Anne Keovathong are the captains of one team, with Judy and Greg Rusedski captaining the other. Andy and Jamie are both on Judy's team. Would love to hear the coaching chats for those matches

Fizzy I think Cristian Garin (the young-ish Chilean player) was in the top 8 at the start of the year, because he won some challengers- and then in Rio.

He's good- but the likelihood of him being there at the end of a 'proper' year at this stage of his career, seems a bit unlikely. He did well at the start of last year too.

I still need to watch Judy in Masterchef .

Well done with the yoga Fizzy. I did Zumba over zoom a couple of weeks ago - it became clear after approx 1 minute I did not have enough room for all the "moves"

Private I caught a bit of him showing off showing his skills with two racquets, then my mother rang me. rude.

There is so much travel involved in tennis- I am now concerned that even borders between European countries might be an issue, if things continue to get get worse on the continent. What might happen if, say, they play in Madrid- and are not allowed into Italy? Or France?

I'm still in a pesimistic 'none of it is going to happen' funk today. I saw the news, where the Tokyo Olympics were re-setting the clock for next year- and some people were even suggesting it might not even go ahead then .

It's all just pants.

They should let Rafa do another IG live. I bet he is no better at it.
