Something to replace Ozark

We've just finished Ozark (which is amazing) and until season 4 drops we need something similar to fill the gap. So please give me your gripping, well acted and written, multi episode drama recommendations!

We have watched and enjoyed The Sopranos, The Wire, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Homeland, Line of Duty, Happy Valley, Sons of Anarchy, Sherlock, Snowfall and probably many more I can't think of right now. We have Netflix and Prime.

Agree with this the first two had mystery and intrigue. Season 3 was just silly and very morning.

Agree season 3 was just pointless.

But don’t agree re Bill Pullman who was just simmering with suppressed feelings. Also he’s very sexy at 66, much more so than young Matt Bomer.

I'm watching The Leftovers based on Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo's recommendation (their little lockdown show has revealed some true gems). The Leftovers is hands down one of the best series I've ever watched.

I've watched (and enjoyed) the same shows OP.

"The Shield" is fantastic. Apparently, cops in the US say it's the most true to life police show out there. It's well written, well acted and the characters aren't two dimensional. You go from rooting for someone to truly hating them in the same episode (and then back again!)

"The Americans" is also amazing, albeit different in style.

first series of Bloodline was quite good but they ran away with further series and I gave up.

I enjoyed Bloodline

season 3 of the sinner was rubbish. Both the male leads were terrible! The young guy when he shaved his beard and head did look lots like rob lowe though I though.

So slow and bill pullman was really rubbish.

We just watched Unorthadox which was incredible. About to get into Shitsel as have heard good things.

We watched Succession on Now Tv which was The BEST thing on tv I have ever seen.

Went back to series one to begin Cardinal,
not going to bother with any more, too unbelievable, too many holes imo

Is there going to be another series of Ozark? I'll be pleased if there is but the ending of s3 seemed quite final!

Try Dark on netflix OP, it's complex and tricky to follow at times but very rewarding when you 'get' it.

Oh i loved Succession. Mathew McFadden is hilarious in it.

Billions is good too, I thought.

Just to add - True Detective, Seven Seconds and The Night Of are all fantastic too.

Have you seen Boardwalk Empire? It is one of my favourite tv shows ever and I loved The Sopranos and The Wire. Steve Buscemi is amazing.

I might give Succession another try after seeing it mentioned here. I couldn’t get in to the first episode.

I enjoyed all three seasons of the sinner. I though Bill pullman was good on all three. Apparently there is going to be another season next year
