Well, Nasty Nick was not quite as nasty as I remember! Grin All seemed like a huge mountain out of a molehill 🤷🏼‍♀️

Really hoping they show 'Fight Night' as it really went completely wild in there that night.

Anyway, here's to BB!

I'd forgotten how openly men could touch women with no comeback- Denis waa beyond dreadful! Glad we didn't have to endure GG as a cat though!

I can't remember Denis Rodman at all but that was dreadful why was that allowed?

unique1986 · 15/06/2020 23:19

I wanna watch the whole series now!!
Loved Pete Burns song.

Mrsjayy · 15/06/2020 23:22

AnneEyhtMeyer · 15/06/2020 23:27

Somehow that doesn't surprise me judging by tonight's episode!!

I must have blocked some of it out because they were such repulsive people.

MayFayner · 16/06/2020 10:11

I’ve never forgotten that bit where Denis Rodman bent Jodie back on the kitchen counter and then just walked off and left her. Her face... It was such a power-play thing he did.

augustusglupe · 16/06/2020 13:28

Oh I adored Pete Burns!! Haven’t seen any of it yet, can’t wait. DH has been watching the Novichok thing....yawn.

Chienloup · 16/06/2020 13:41

DH and I sat totally shocked by last night's. It's funny how I seem to have forgotten just how awful it was. Dennis Rodman with Jodie was just awful, and it felt a bit weird watching Davina watching it too, as with hindsight she was complicit in that behaviour - making comments instead of calling it out. It's also incredible to think that Michael Barrymore was in the just a few years after Stuart Lubbock died.

Watching the Nasty Nick one the night before was eye-opening too, there was no screaming or drama - just measured adult discussion and real compassion from Mel. Is that the way the whole of society has changed in the last 20 years I wonder, or just reality TV? I feel in love with Darren all I've again too, he's just so nice.

One thing that is confusing me though - I thought there was an incident where Nick made up a story about a dead fiancee? Did I imagine that? Or was it someone else? So odd, I "remember" it so clearly.

Wanttobeateacherinscotland · 16/06/2020 13:46

I was a bit young for the early and good days of BB. Probably caught the last couple of series on channel 4 before channel 5 took over and it was just never the same!

Would love to go back and watch a whole series. I have time for that sort of commitment atm.

Does anyone remember a hilarious scene with Mikey but it’s slipped my mind what actually happened. He either ate a really hot chilli or someone hit him with something?

Neilsfavouritechilli · 16/06/2020 13:47

Nick made up loads of stuff. I'm sure he made out he was ex military then barely cobbled around an obstacle course once.

Mrsjayy · 16/06/2020 13:49

Yes Nick said his fiancee died in a car accident abroad just to make it a bit more tragic,

StoorieHoose · 16/06/2020 13:53

Yes Mikey was hit on the with a baseball I think.

I still love watching Bubble go flying over that chair - it was a sore one but v funny to watch

StoorieHoose · 16/06/2020 13:54

*head

Chienloup · 16/06/2020 14:18

That's a relief. I thought I had imagined it!
Mrsjayy · 16/06/2020 14:29

Cant remember my name some days but nasty nick from 20 years ago Grin

Marsalimay · 16/06/2020 14:31

I'm just catching up with this. I would happily watch the first series again Blush. 2000. What a different time, the world was so hopeful.

Who is Rylan?

Chienloup · 16/06/2020 15:39

Rylan was an XFactor contestant who has gone on to become a presenter.

Mrsjayy · 16/06/2020 15:42

Rylan was on xfactor wasn't he ?

Redcrayons · 16/06/2020 15:50

That struck me too. The confrontation was the drama. Switch to the later channel 5 years and the tasks were all ‘stand around in a circle and tell everyone who you hate the most’.

Having said that fight night was only a few years later and that was brilliant.

Marsalimay · 16/06/2020 16:16

But how is Rylan associated with BB? Was he the host when BB went to C5?

I loved seeing the series 1 participants again.

LoveLoveLove2020 · 16/06/2020 16:32

Rylan was also a contestant on of the celebrity big brothers.
