Will Yasmeen get her freedom or will she languish in the jail (where so many have before her!) by the end of this thread?

I like the idea of for Your Fries Only being tacked on to the medical centre! Is te community centre where Elliotts used to be, I suppose there is no summer camp this year for craft activities!

Is for your fries only Devs chip shop? Is Elliot and Sons still there? Wasn't that the butchers? Where is Trim up North? And the community centre? And speed Daal? Florists? Isn't there a coop now?

Sounded quite horrible and seemed a bit out of character for Adam, but admittedly I was barely giving it half my attention at the time.

What happened to Devs gym and the snooker hall Peter was going to buy?

I think the gym is just derelict. As for the snooker hall, I’ve no idea why they introduced it in the first place!

Yes it was horrible and reminded me of Jim McDonald (who is being an abusive asshole to Liz in the classic episodes this week) not Adams normal style at all.

Just thinking... they aren't going to bring Yasmeen back to the street, she gives in and lives with Geoff, and the whole cycle starts again?

I just wonder if they realise it's the best storyline they've got, there is lots of time Yasmeen is on her own in the flat (good for social distancing) and they could stretch this out with another bout of mental abuse from Geoff. They obviously hadn't got as far as a court case when covid struck, so perhaps they've changed the way the story goes...

I wondered that too, just stretching the story out for more months, because they know people are watching it and they don't want to get rid of Geoff. Really hope that's not the case. It will just become boring and irritating, and the storyline is too important for that.

I'm trying to remember who knew about the spy cam- was it Tim? Surely spy cam + escorts + chlamydia + financial and social control = mitigation that would see Yasmeen acquitted and Geoff disappearing never to show his face again?

Oh I really hope they don’t do that with Yasmeen! It will be like Phelan all over again. We’ll all loose interest.

I hope they don’t disappear Geoff. I hate when soaps kill off or send away baddies to end the story. That’s not real life. They can keep him in it hanging round like a bad smell. Everyone giving him dirty looks. I’d also like to see charges against him for corrective control.

The man in the Rovers can beat him up too.
Once Tim notices all the clues and adds them up, geoff will be in trouble.

Tim also made a point of asking Faye in private what she thought of Geoff and if he was good to her. I took that to mean he has at least some doubts and wanted to see if faye had any complaints about him. (She didn’t)

I think they should do this actually, it will highlight the power abusers have over their victims, generally in soapland the villain will get their comeuppance in court and we can all celebrate that justice is done, but that’s not what happens in real life a lot of the time unfortunately, it would be good for Tim and Faye to see Tim and Yasmeen back together and for them to witness his controlling behaviour, despite believing him there will be a tiny element of doubt and they would be subconsciously looking for it, if Yasmeen does not go back to him they will never believe her.

Yes that’s a good point actually Zara. As much as I want to see this story end, I would like it to reflect reality so that people/viewers can see just how powerful abusers are.

Good point, Zara, I suppose it's just that we can't bear to see Yasmeen put through any more. But if she did go back he has nowhere to escape, he will be watched all over the Street. And Yasmeen is a bit stronger so she maybe would shout for help metaphorically speaking

I think Tim can add up, but possibly counts on his fingers. So we may need to wait patiently.
If Yasmeen comes back, Sally will listen with a glass to the wall.

Yes she was doing a gcse? Didn't Sally help Tim with literacy stuff? I like Tim.

I like Tim as well but I can’t forget how he abandoned Sally when she was in Prison because she thought she had an affair, it will be interesting to see if he chooses Geoff over Sally.......so far it’s Geoff, I don’t find him the most loyal of husbands despite his likeable persona.

I think Abby got the results, and she'd passed. Or did I dream that?
