I wonder what they're going to do about PC Craigy. He's lost a ton of weight over lockdown and looks like a completely different person.

Wasn’t there already a storyline underway about him dieting and going running because he was getting stick at work about his weight? I’m guessing they’ll just build on this.

Does no one have passwords or fingerprints on their phones in Corrie so no use to another person?

They have the capabilities in real life but not necessarily the staff. If Yasmeen was Yazz "The Bottler" of the Wetherfield arm of the "Monitoring And Financing Intellectual Acquisitions Group" then she might be monitored... Be interesting if Corrie have done their home work and mention it tho.

You don’t need password/fingerprint to answer a call. Geoff overheard Aliyah telling Imran that Yasmeen would be phoning her later so he knew he wouldn’t need any passcodes. He could just answer the call.

I hope they have cctv of him taking the phone, but they didn't have cctv of him taking the cash?

It never really got resolved, they just dropped the storyline and she was accepted as his gran.

Geoff looks just like my neighbour. He is a self appointed parking warden that no one wants, busy body, complains if your bins not in within 10 minutes of the bin men leaving and generally spouts off. I already didn't like him.

But now I have recognised he looks like Geoff I really can't get it out of my head.

Geoff would probably say he took the phone because he needed to hear his darling wife's voice because he's missing her so much. He's good at pretending.

In his own weird way he is. Wasn’t he sniffing her scarf when he was in the house?

It’s natural he misses her. She was the entire focus of 90% of his energies. (The other ten percent was for prostitutes) He was constantly either manipulating or berating her and if he wasn’t with her he was calling her, texting her or setting up traps for her and thinking of new ways to torment her. She took up a lot of his time and mental space. Not to mention the physical aspect of your partner no longer being at home. For Yasmeen that would be a relief but he wasn’t being abused so he misses her just being there. Now he has a gaping void on his life. For him that will feel like a big loss and make him sad (violins ready?)

Also she did most of the work in the house and perhaps he no longer has any access to her finances?

It would be good if Imran got a hold of her bank statements to see the spending that was done.

It was so odd the episode before when Leanne and Nick couldn't hug.

i wonder if Imran can access Geoff's medical records too as part of the defense? Everyone, including Tim would find out that he doesn't have a heart condition, and poor Yasmeen would realise that all her scrubbing to ease his 'dust allergy' was just more control on his part.

So at least Aliyah can now tell the police he stole her phone to have contact with Yasmeen which isn’t allowed. Then they might be able to listen to their call and hear him trying to bribe her.
