New thread...

Will Yasmeen get her freedom or will she languish in the jail (where so many have before her!) by the end of this thread?

Go on Sally! Can see the cogs and wheels turning Smile

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 06/07/2020 22:22

I really hope Tim realises the truth it Geoff loses it in front of people so that everyone can see his true colours.

Roussette · 06/07/2020 22:31

Haha... never even noticed this!

Nick is with brown hair and a beard. Popped outside, came back into the flat to see Leanne with no beard and gray hair!

Lockdown strikes!
It appears lockdown acting started halfway through tonight's episode!

(I've checked, there doesn't appear to be any spoilers in the link. Apparently Covid will be incorporated into storylines from 24th July)

Honeyroar · 06/07/2020 22:40

That’s really funny. We hadn’t noticed (even my husband who never misses an opportunity to criticise Corrie!).

Glad the Yasmeen story is expanding. She really opened up to Sally. Hopefully Tim starts seeing the light (finally?).

Smallsteps88 · 06/07/2020 23:13

I hadn’t noticed either! Shows how much attention we pay to Nick Grin

Glad to see Yasmeen. Hopefully Tim will see that Geoff was giving Sally aggro and will take her side. Doubtful though. Sally shouldn’t let on she has spoken to Yasmeen. Geoff will just use what he knows to plan his next lie. The less he knows the less prepared he can be for court.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 07/07/2020 00:08

I didn’t spot Nick’s hair, but I thought Ironing Sally had longer than usual hair, whereas Prison Visitor Sally had her usual style.

PaintedBottom · 07/07/2020 00:30

Does anyone know if Corrie is stopping temporarily like EastEnders has? Or are they going to attempt to 'seamlessly' blend the old with the new?

eggandonion · 07/07/2020 00:35

I think they are finishing off episodes that were partly made, before moving on to fully covid. Apart from Tim and Abi, are any actors in relationships off the street?

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 07/07/2020 08:22

I find myself playing the 'Spot The Covid Scene" while watching Corrie at the minute.
I reckon Sally ironing was a newer scene as no one got close. Leanne stepping on a car and being horrible to Toyah too. But I didn't notice Nick's hair either tbh.

ajandjjmum · 07/07/2020 08:28

When Leanne stepped on the car and broke it, my first thought is 'she should get on to MN and see if anyone has an identical one'. Bit sad really! Grin

She was vile to Toyah.

Roussette · 07/07/2020 08:31

Yes, she was. I know she's going through something horrific with Oliver, but is it normal to be so vile for days/a week on end to everyone? I can imagine outbursts like this here and there, then feeling awful about it, but continually to be so nasty to anyone who speaks to her....

eddiemairswife · 07/07/2020 08:34

Leanne is vile all the time.

desperatehousewife21 · 07/07/2020 10:33

Someone must like her Grin

Smallsteps88 · 07/07/2020 11:24

I hate that they give shitty actors such big story lines and stupid people suddenly think that means they’re a great actor. They’re still shit just with more screen time.

eggandonion · 07/07/2020 11:56

In fairness, a lot of the big storylines aren''t brilliantly written. Even the best actors struggle.
I think three episodes a week might work better six was too much?

Smallsteps88 · 07/07/2020 12:02

That’s true @eggandonion. I reckon Geoff and Yasmeen will be up for loads of awards for this storyline. It actually has been done so well. So far.

eggandonion · 07/07/2020 12:07

It has been good, they are much quieter actors, more subtle? Shouty screechy ones are annoying. I think the quads should get an award, so I can see how many babies they are using.

ajandjjmum · 07/07/2020 14:06

The quads is an appalling and unsustainable storyline - particularly with Gemma as their mother!

I see Tim and Abby have got engaged in RL. Hope that's not considered a spoiler! Grin

Smallsteps88 · 07/07/2020 15:37

I can only picture Tim and Abby as their characters and imagine them having blazing rows as a couple Grin

Ritascornershop · 07/07/2020 16:00

I can only imagine Tim and Abbi as their characters and am appalled at Tim as Sally will be so hurt. 😂

Smallsteps88 · 07/07/2020 16:11
Grin
Deadringer · 07/07/2020 16:47

How could Abi do that after all Sally has done for her?Smile

desperatehousewife21 · 07/07/2020 18:26

As much as I like Tim and Sally’s on screen couple, I think Tim and Abi (irl) couple work really well!

(Obv I know they’re not the same as their characters!)

eggandonion · 07/07/2020 18:34

They look like they would be a good laugh.

nildesparandum · 07/07/2020 19:29

She sets my teeth on edge.If she is best soap actress I wonder how bad the worst one is?
