New thread...

Will Yasmeen get her freedom or will she languish in the jail (where so many have before her!) by the end of this thread?

Bethany has the hots for Daniel.

Roussette · 19/06/2020 13:27

Oh I am so sorry folks. I've been muddling Adam and Daniel, please just ignore my last few posts!

As you were Grin

Smallsteps88 · 19/06/2020 13:36
Grin

Adam= Hot Scot solicitor with a swagger

Daniel= Drippy Ken clone with bum fluff.

Roussette · 19/06/2020 14:06

Hahaha... yes. I've always been awful on names!

And was imagining Sarah and Bethany fighting over drippy Ken with bum fluff!

And doesn't Adam wear an overcoat like Gary's? They are a similar build so I imagine there is just one overcoat, they share it, and are never in a scene together because of this Grin

Smallsteps88 · 19/06/2020 14:38

I think Gary is about a foot shorter than Adam. On Adam it’s just a blazer. Grin

Roussette · 19/06/2020 14:50

You're right they are 4 inches different!

It makes me think of somethingI went to, there was about 50 people there. I wore a knee length padded black anorak type coat. It went on the pegs outside.
When I came to go home, someone had taken my coat, and left a hip length black padded anorak.
When I eventually tracked this woman down and rang her I said... 'umm didn't you notice that my coat although similar colour etc was knee length and yours is hip length?'
No, I didn't notice she said.... Hmm
Strange!

Maybe Adam won't notice it's a bit short!

eggandonion · 19/06/2020 14:58

I know someone who got an amazing new coat when someone took hers, she waited until the end of the event, so took the amazing left behind coat. Next day she rang the venue with details of her old coat and the amazing new one. Hers wasn't returned so she swanned around in the expensive one for a few years.
That would be a good storyline.

Smallsteps88 · 19/06/2020 15:24

Once when I was small and out shopping my mother and I watched my sister grab a strange woman’s hand and attempt to walk off with her before the woman recoiled at the tiny being attaching itself to her. Immediate screeches from my sister when she realised it wasn’t my mum. Same tan macs. Grin

Roussette · 19/06/2020 16:10

eggandonion
I wish that was my experience! The coat that was left for me was naff!

Tonight I shall be studying Corrie carefully for Gary and Adam in overcoats. Grin

eddiemairswife · 19/06/2020 16:28

I'd rather not see Gary at all.

desperatehousewife21 · 19/06/2020 17:20

Or how about Adam in just his coat Wink

That happened to my mom. She was at the hairdressers and someone had taken her old coat and left an expensive looking one behind. Similar colours but different styles. Mom wore it home and the hairdresser said she'd let her know if the coat taker came back, but they never did. Mom was delighted!
eggandonion · 19/06/2020 18:59

Did the gym become speed daal?
The coat saga could be something hilarious involving Steve.

PoloNeckKnickers · 19/06/2020 19:35

Looks like Peter is competing with Steve in the beer gut department.

nildesparandum · 19/06/2020 19:36

@Ihavebrillohair

This is about the fourth time I've watched the tudors. The actor playing HenryVIII beats Adam any day.

Roussette · 19/06/2020 20:03

Watched for coat-gate. Adam didn't have one on, pah

And Ken with bum fluff is throwing money at a woman he met at a bar Hmm

Housewife2010 · 19/06/2020 20:06

I thought that tonight's episode was excellent. Carla was fantastic and Peter is such a great actor (and so hot).

thenightsky · 19/06/2020 20:17

I wonder if tonight's episode was the first filmed at the start of lockdown. There's a fair bit of social distancing in the pub. Ignoring Peter/Carla snog of course.

Housewife2010 · 19/06/2020 20:25

I hadn't thought of that. I hope not, because they closed the set down a week or so after they started social distancing so that would mean that we didn't have many episodes left.

eggandonion · 19/06/2020 20:26

Oh no Daniel, unless yer wan is from the escort agency Geoff used and Daniel Can investigative journalism again. Did Peter duff up the nasty pair, is mystery man involved.
I am useless at detective and thriller things, and courtroom drama.
Adam in his pants is my limit.

PennyRoyal · 19/06/2020 20:55

I didn't see that one coming with Daniel and the escort. Thought she was a bit forward! And didn't Adam ask her if she was a solicitor and she said "kind of!"

I've a feeling it wasn't Peter who beat up the blackmailing pair. It might be the way that the mystery b&b guest is shoehorned into the storyline regarding Carla.

Carlas speech was brave and typical of Corrie's history of strong northern women. Good stuff!

And glad that David has noticed Adam/Braveheart is often in the house - we haven't!

That was a really good episode!! Really enjoyed that. Had a bit of everything in it. The funny moments between David and Sarah “braveheart” Grin the stuff with Evelyn and tightwad whatever he’s called.

The Carla stuff was really good. But why oh why did peter have to go and make things worse?? Why couldn’t he just leave it at that? He’s gone and brought a heap of trouble to their door now.

excelledyourself · 19/06/2020 21:03

I knew Peter was lying when he said he was going to work, but I thought he was maybe feeling the need for an AA meeting after the events of the day and didn't want to worry Carla.

It was good to see Abbie, Evelyn, and Whatshisface stick up for her.

I laughed when David asked Roy "I'm not a hugger. Are you?" Grin

thenightsky · 19/06/2020 21:05

It was very Bet Lynch-like wasn't it?

Smallsteps88 · 19/06/2020 21:19

Yes I thought peter was going to an AA meeting too. He’d have been better off if he had!
