Maybe now with fewer episodes and time on their hands the writing will improve with some decent story lines.

I've been away for a few days so catching up en masse with last week's episodes. I wish I hadn't bothered. Nothing has changed and everybody is being horrible to each other.
We have the ongoing shit between Nate/Andrea/Moira/Belle
Mandy and Layla bickering over the salon
The rubbish that nobody cares about with Paul and his silly voice and his gambling problems
Ben/Aaron and the new guy whose name escapes me as I don't care
Ellis/Dawn/Billy.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Time for a major cull

I can't think of anyone in the programme at the moment who's remotely likeable.

Wasn't Dan unable to get up for the toilet about three weeks ago? Now he's back working in the garage?

That scene tonight with Mandy shouting and bawling at Marlon was awful. She is a horrible character now compared to her former self.

Then Paul appeared as if it couldn't get any worse

Trouble is if they do decide on a cull then we'd be in for another unlikely major disaster scenario which would go on and on and on until someone dies in a sufficiently dramatic manner to garner a Soap Award.

There's way way too much Mandy.

Interesting weather they have in emmerdale. Lashing down omen minute, sun splitting the stones the next!

It really pisses me off how they portray the police and as if they'd charge Belle with no evidence. This entire soap is now beyond ridiculous and I used to love it. I'd be really interested in the writers thought process.

@JaneJeffer. That wouldn’t have surprised me as a storyline either TBF. I’ve decided to wrap up some of their stories for them.

Vinny calls police on Paul and he gets done for assault, turns out he has a warrant out for his arrest for loads of thefts so goes to prison. Mandy can’t forgive vinny so leaves the village. Vinny can stay.

Nate goes to prison for belle. We all applaud.

Dan can’t afford his rent anymore so has to leave the village with Amelia.

Ellis plays the victim so much he convinces himself Billy has killed him so just lies down in a hole in the ground.

The roof on wendy’s House caves in and kills her, Andrea and Millie. Meena was randomly there so she’s dead too.

Liam forgets his way home from the surgery and is never seen again.

Small Steps88 thanks for that complete summary of what needs to happen. If only the scriptwriters read what's on this thread, Emmerdale might be enjoyable again.

As a matter of interest, can anyone remember the last time there was a remotely happy story?

Tbh it's easier to make a list of who can act these days!
