Maybe now with fewer episodes and time on their hands the writing will improve with some decent story lines.

That is beyond messed up from Dawn!

JaneJeffer · 12/10/2020 20:06

That Vanity stuff was excruciating.

JaneJeffer · 13/10/2020 19:49

I think it says it all about Emmerdale at the moment that we can't even be arsed chatting about it Sad

HollywoodTease · 13/10/2020 20:04

I'm confused.

There's Moira saying that she needs Vic's field for grazing the herd, and she can't possibly manage without it.

Next thing you know there's Vic scattering Annie's ashes in the middle of a field of crops. Not a cow in sight and definitely a growing field not a grazing one.

Do the writers really think the audience is that dim? Hmm

JaneJeffer · 13/10/2020 20:27

That farm is a joke.

Jojoanna · 13/10/2020 21:14

The whole program is a joke ,, I can’t empathise with any character or storyline at the moment ,, I’d rather watch el dorado

KurriKawari · 13/10/2020 22:14

Oh Eldorado, pure escapism.

RaraRachael · 14/10/2020 17:23

Eldorado was shite on a whole different level. My daughter was small at the time and used to call it Enaranoo Grin

excelledyourself · 14/10/2020 19:35

I know no one is engaging with this thread, and for good reason, but Jeezo, I cannot stand Paul. He is absolutely woeful.

Had to get that out.

MrsSteveMcDonald · 14/10/2020 19:51

He was shit in Corrie too.

JaneJeffer · 14/10/2020 20:22

He's awful and so is Mandy. Wish Leyla got the salon.

I wanted Aaron to give Ben's annoying friend a kick in the arse.

ellenanora5 · 14/10/2020 22:53

Just catching up on the last few episodes, what the hell is Dawn thinking, she should have just told Billy she killed Malone, I honestly don't think he'd have cared, but what she has done to him and Ellis is just bloody awful.

Her Father is about as useful to her as a chocolate teapot and should be ashamed of himself, mind you what was Harriet thinking getting back together with him, it baffles me.

I know it's not going to be popular but I'm completely fed up with Aaron, it's the same thing over and over again, I was never a fan of RobRon, it wrecked my head and I can't be arsed watching the same thing again, and I remember what he did to Paddy, I know he's been through something horrendous but they need to stop bashing us over the head with it every opportunity they get.

Mandy and Paul are just yuk.

I actually have up halfway through tonight. They have made everyone horrible.
Big mistake. If I don't like anyone why would I watch ?

Jojoanna · 15/10/2020 05:15

I wanted Leyla to get the salon but the whole thing was farcical anyway I can’t stand Mandy or Pau. BTW where is Dawns son??

TellingBone · 15/10/2020 20:21

Clothing budget for Andrea has obviously run out

Smallsteps88 · 15/10/2020 20:39

Great. More torture of belle with her mental health. Why do the writers hate belle?

StillCoughingandLaughing · 15/10/2020 22:02

I’d assumed Victoria was going to ask Moira to rename the farm Emmerdale Farm as a tribute to Annie. It seems a bit pointless otherwise.

Although I don’t like the storyline, I actually think Dawn is a good actress.

Mandy’s entire characterisation seems to have been based on the two weeks she came back in around 2001 and tried to break up Paddy and Emily. She was a much nicer character before that.

JaneJeffer · 15/10/2020 23:01

It was lovely to hear Lisa although not lovely for Belle!

I can't understand why Ben is talking to Aaron as if they have been going out already.

My favourite thing at the moment is Bear reading Mr. Men books.

Mandy gets more annoying by the episode especially when she stars that growling voice thing.

SoPanny · 16/10/2020 13:40

Oh god. Poor Belle.

So I’ve dipped into Emmerdale now and again since about March.

The last full proper episode I remember is Belle and Jamie getting busted for the affair and then him shaming her in front of the whole Woolpack claiming it was all in her mind to divert away from his cheating ways.

And now she’s hearing voices. I don’t know why, I find it quite upsetting.

Can someone quickly link me up with how come Belle is suffering when it was Jamie who mowed down Moira?

Sorry, I’m THAT PERSON on this thread.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 16/10/2020 14:11

Belle conned Jamie into thinking she was on his side, but then she shopped him to the police. He’s trying to pin it on her as she used the car on the same day and there’s CCTV of her in it.

SoPanny · 16/10/2020 16:30

Appreciate this thank you x
Graciebobcat · 16/10/2020 19:27

Where the fuck is Belle's solicitor? What about the Police and Criminal Evidence Act? Why is she not being taped?

Utterly irresponsible bollocks. The writers ought to be wheeled out and shot.

Smallsteps88 · 16/10/2020 19:40

Agree @Graciebobcat it’s pure poo.

JaneJeffer · 17/10/2020 00:23

Surely the solution is to get Moira to say she has suddenly remembered the car that hit her was completely different to Jamie's so Belle gets off and then they pop Jamie into Cain's boot and give him some Dingle justice.
