Maybe now with fewer episodes and time on their hands the writing will improve with some decent story lines.

Same. It's bloody dreadful. I can't stand most of the characters - I've heard a spoiler of a character coming back which will hopefully improve it tenfold. This character ( I think) would hold the entire programme together!

Ooh really? I'm tempted to google. Any spoilers I've seen are more rubbish! I'm glad I've got Classic Emmerdale to watch. It's much more enjoyable.

There have been some woeful actors on the show over the years but Andrea and Jamie really take the biscuit. I am trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they would improve with better storylines but I'm not convinced. Good actors (Kim, Cain, Eric..) still manage to pull it out of the bag despite awful scripts. Why do they keep so many dreadful cast members around. What is the point of Bob, Dan, Al, Ellis..? All can be written out and no-one would notice. Nate is an interesting character but they need a new head, I cannot bear his voice. Billy can stay off course😍

To prove your point, I read this line and said “who is Ellis?” To myself. I’ve been watching emmerdale since I was a small child and I had to really think who Ellis was.

Wrt the brovers. I don’t think they were ever actually on screen together. Were they? I think Luke first appeared in the hospital when Lee was in intensive care but I don’t think we ever saw a scene with him visiting him or anything.

I feel like there's a bit party or something somewhere and we've just been left with the few that didn't get invited. Like the few kids left behind on a school trip.

We have been moaning about how awful it is for a long time now. I feel like the producers et al must read viewers' comments and then do the complete opposite.

So many shit stories with characters that nobody cares about drag on and on - Malone, Dan's accident, Jamie/Andrea/Belle, Layla and the doctor etc etc

I used to really look forward to watching Emmerdale of an evening but am thinking of ditching it unless there some decent storylines soon.

The fact that Andy is "on the run" for a crime everyone including the police knows he didn't commit makes zero sense. No-one ever mentions him, even when Sarah was at death's door awaiting an operation or donor. (I've forgotten what's wrong with her and as she has a permanent scowl it's difficult to know when she's supposed to be ill).

I'm glad irritating David isn't around. I suppose we can look forward to the reappearance of Maya and a custody battle in the not too distant future. Yawn.

I think it was intimated by Leila and Liam that it was Kim who’d done that and the fake negative reviews of the business in revenge for helping Andrea disappear with the whiny daughter.

I don’t understand what Cain meant about Rhona and Moira fighting Kim together. What are they fighting Kim over? As far as I remember the only ammo Kim had was to tell Moira about Rhona and Nate’s collaboration but that’s gone now so there’s nothing for Kim to shit stir with?

I think he meant that if they don't let Nate in on the deal it will fall through and then Moira will have to sell the farm, probably to Kim.

Yes pretty sure the shop was trashed before Andrea disappeared. Also, although Kim is vindictive and scheming I don't think that sort of thing is her style.

Having just suffered watching the gorgeous David Glover die to save Jamie in Classic Emmerdale, I don't half wish he'd left him there. David was such a better character than Jamie and then we wouldn't have to sit though the tedious Jamie/Andrea/Millie so called 'acting'

Dave Glover was gorgeous! I fancied him and Biff. I was only about 10 when Dave died.
