Outlander - worth it?

If you loved the books? It's always a bit disappointing when films don't live up to the book. And there's a lot of episodes to get through.

Season One is brilliant. I loved it. Think I'm on Season 5 now.
I didn't read all the books (they got quite predictable after the first two/three) so not sure how they match up, but the production of the show is really good.

Going to be a long drought lander till season 6.

I think they were quite true to the books. Jamie in particular was so well cast. I really only enjoyed the first and second series. Stopped watching then but might go back.

I'm obsessed by outlander!!!

I have stopped mid way through season 2..I will probably pick it up again at some point but I found the whole ‘in mortal peril’ almost every episode a bit draining. But damn the guy who plays Jamie it hot!

Must start series three I leave it for ages then hooked, then will buy series 4 then five.

I watched episode 1, it hasnt got me yet. I'm not convinced they've got Jamie right. I'll carry on though for a few episodes

It is awful. Really bad accents. Bad over acting.

I loved loved loved the first half of season 1. The rest of it never even gets close but I watch it just in case it recaptures the old magic.

Sky are selling digital downloads of Series 1 to 4 for a fiver each.

I’m looking forward to 5 but I think it’s just on Netflix or somesuch just now so I’ll just buy the dvd when it comes out to add to my collection.

Worth it for Jamie in the millpond in Season 1.

Yeah it's worth it, it's beautifully filmed and well cast I think. But they've forgotten a major aspect of the books and that's Claire's humour, how she tries to make the best of a situation. I find her series character very dour when she's vibrant in the books! Series one & two are way better than the rest, but last episode of current season was vv good. I watch it on Amazon, was the main reason for buying it!
