Outlander - worth it?

If you loved the books? It's always a bit disappointing when films don't live up to the book. And there's a lot of episodes to get through.

I much prefer Series 5 Roger. But then I'm in my 60' s and have thought Richard Rankin was gorgeous since he was in Crimson Field. I saw a clip the other day, when Lauren Lyle who plays Marssli saying Richard was her Celeb crush too.

@pinkrocker agree 're Claire, it's ages since I last read the books but I don't recall her being such a misery. I'm on about episode 10 now I think. I'm enjoying it, but it's not a patch on the books.

I'm not seeing any of the early series on prime, maybe something to do with my subscription I'll get the IT department on it, ie DH

I'm saving the very last episode for when DCs go back to school and I've got the house to my wee self.....happy days!

It's a bit up and down to be honest.. The first few episodes of season 1 are quite slow, then it gets going a bit, then slows down, but the ending is very good. Season 2 again a mixed bag with some slow episodes but also some very good ones. The cinematography, scenery and costumes of first two seasons gorgeous. I can't quite remember season three and season 4 is so meh that it's taken me about six months to get through it! Something's not quite letting me give up on it though (I think it's the pure escapism!) and I'm just about to start season 5 so fingers crossed!
