Surprised to see there is a second series of this family drama.

I did get caught up in series 1 and fell for the misdirection. Blush

I wonder were series 2 can go?

(I think it is on every evening in the coming week)

Sure I watched blood S1

Was the the one where her mum died by the pond in front garden and was her dad

stumbledin · 26/04/2020 22:47

Yes - and for anyone who hasn't seen it, it is available to watch online.

I haven't watched series 1 but do fancy it!

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/04/2020 14:40

Not sure how this can continue tbh

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/04/2020 14:51

Surely it can’t go anywhere

We know how mum died

We know why she died

We know who killed her

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/04/2020 08:44

Did no one watch last nights

Watching now as was at work

And on again tonight

Optimist1 · 28/04/2020 09:58

Yes, I watched last night's Blondes - thought it was quite good, although a couple of things puzzled me :

Who exactly are the couple who've provided accommodation to Jim? There was reference to them being godparents to Fiona's children, but I'm not sure I remember them in series 1 at all.

The car crash and discovery of Fiona's husband's body is presumably present time, with all the rest being a flashback?

stumbledin · 28/04/2020 13:25

I watched and was disappointed that they were going down the another mysterious death.

I thought they would expand on the psychological impact of the wife / mother's death in the first series.

Doesn't matter what role he is in (and thought him really good is series 1) I always suspect Aidan Dunbar as he seems to always be a bit menacing (will he be the ONE in Line of Duty?).

I dont think the couple on the farm were in the first series. But having to have new characters, hey presto find some god parents. (Noticeable absence of suspicious daughter from series 1 - maybe the actress has a better part on offer!).

Also cant remeber what if anything had happened between the brother / son and the son in law / husband now presumed dead. Was it something to do with the brother not being out?

Slightly off topic but does anyone know about horses, in this case racing / thorough bred? Are they just so valuable that they are never allowed out and have to be shut in all day. I kept worrying about it. And thought it really sweet when the now dead husband sat on the floor to cry and the horse tried to nuzzle him and couldn't quite reach. Sad

Yes wasn’t respecting hubby to be in the car boot

Godparents happy to spend £5/6k a term so least £20k a year on school fees. Son didn’t look impressed

Who was the horse lady /stables

Good don’t have to wait a week for e2

thenightsky · 28/04/2020 21:51

Is Frank from the 1st series? And who is the bastard who hit him so he lost his memory?

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/04/2020 09:12

Really surprised more aren’t watching

ExclamationPerfume · 29/04/2020 10:34

Frank is Jim's cousin. I think it was Jim that hit him. I can't remember so I googled but I can't find anything.

rosegoldwatcher · 29/04/2020 10:55

This looks like my kind of thing but I somehow missed series 1. Is it available to watch anywhere?

ExclamationPerfume · 29/04/2020 12:25

It's on channel 5 catch-up.

Optimist1 · 29/04/2020 12:51

It was Cat who ran Frank over. He was brandishing a gun at her. Jim turned up straight away and told Cat he'd tell the police that Frank had staggered into the road blind drunk and he (Jim) had run him down. He took the gun but told Cat there hadn't been a gun. She was convinced there had been a gun and searched for it in their house. She eventually found it and took it to her friend's house (the old school friend who obviously was keen to have a romantic relationship with her) for safekeeping.

Jim put dark thoughts into the friend's head about his father's apparent suicide. Cat declined the friend's offer for her to stay overnight at his and went home, not realising that her friend was very low. He used the gun to kill himself.

IIRC, Jim told Cat he was going to tell Frank that it was he who'd run him over, but obviously he didn't.

I think more aren't watching because people dont expect C5 to do a reasonable let alone a good drama.

I am not happy that the plot is another mysterious death told via flashback. I dont think it has quite the style of the first series, but compared to Van der Valk easily better.

PS a new crime(?) drama starts tonight on alibi!

rosegoldwatcher · 29/04/2020 13:54

... and a new Norwegian drama (State of Happiness) on BBC4 from Saturday 9pm.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/04/2020 16:53

What did I miss last night on alibi @stumbledin ?

Love a crime

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/04/2020 16:55

Oh tonight. Yes on planner stumptown

stumbledin · 29/04/2020 17:00

I have shared - though think I should stop cluttering up telly addicts with odd series I find out about as so many turn out to be not very inspiring.

Although haven't bothered with Code 404 nore Run, but now I see it will have Archie Panjabi in it so may have to reconsider

I've just found this!

I am watching Series 1 at this moment - Frank has just been killed (the sleazy bastard) and I came on here to see if there was a thread - and there is!

RingtheBells · 29/04/2020 20:31

Just about catching up, on episode 2, having spent yesterday watching series 1. I don’t know how I missed it when it was on originally

PinkSubscriber · 29/04/2020 20:32

Can anyone tell me how to watch S1 please? It’s something like £13.99 on Amazon!

I’m really enjoying S2.

RingtheBells · 29/04/2020 20:36

I found series 1 on channel 5 catch up but I had to put it into search on Sky to find it

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/04/2020 20:38

Yes on sky demand or ch 4 demand

How do we think hubby got into the boot

Was it the chavvy bloke with gold necklace who threatened him
