Hopefully not before the end of this thread! Sad

I’ve really warmed to Nina. I like her confidence and self assurance. She knows who she is and has a bit of a wide head on her young shoulders. Love what she did for Asha. (The picture not the punch) the punch was stupid. Teens these days would have been straight onto the police for that.

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 12/05/2020 19:37

Yes but just look at his range..
What an actor, really shocked he never did nothing else but Corrie.. no really.. I mean it most sincerely..

Corrie Thread - No spoilers please! When we will run out of episodes?

They seem to caricature lots of characters. They did with Sally and Gail for a long time. But the actor that plays Steve is like a one trick, wooden, pony.

cherrytree63 · 13/05/2020 06:52

I stopped watching for a while as I got fed up of Michelle and her screeching. Is the Bistro still open?
And where/how did Nina appear?
Poor Yasmine, I'm saving episodes to binge watch when there's an outcome as I'm finding them frustrating and upsetting, I could only watch that "red dress" episode as I knew the outcome.

Roussette · 13/05/2020 07:30

Nina is his long lost brother's child.

Roy found his brother who was terminally ill, she was caring for him, when the brother died, Nina moved in with Roy.

cherrytree63 · 13/05/2020 12:47

Thanks @Roussette

ChandlerIsTheBestFriend · 13/05/2020 12:50

Has Nina abandoned her college course?

ellenanora5 · 13/05/2020 14:16

I really like Nina too, think she's a good addition to the street.

Asha has really come into her own with that story line too, she's very good.

I just want Tims mother to put in an appearance and we can find out what Geoff was like all those years ago.

How come Faye doesn't live with Anna.

eggandonion · 13/05/2020 14:34

I'd choose Tim over Anna. She whines a lot.
Has Faye quit school to work full time in the bistro or whatever it is called?

PoloNeckKnickers · 13/05/2020 15:48

Nina has probably jacked in the college course so she can work in Roy's Rolls full time. It's what the youngsters tend to do in CorrieLand.

ChandlerIsTheBestFriend · 13/05/2020 15:55

I hate when they do that to young people in Corrie. She was doing an arty type course. I remember she was panicking because she had an assessment to hand in but her sewing machine was broken so Roy gave her Hayley’s to use. It was a lovely moment. All that has gone to waste now. They should write in some mentions of her college course and her passing her assessments. She’s clearly a creative sort and they should use that.

PoloNeckKnickers · 13/05/2020 16:36

Didn't Bethany turn down a college course to sweep up at the salon? And didn't Sawphie pack in her A Levels to pursue a career behind the counter at Dev's shop?

eddiemairswife · 13/05/2020 16:38

Faye doesn't live with Anna, because Anna moved to Northumberland(?) when the actress left, and the Faye actress stayed in the series.

eggandonion · 13/05/2020 16:48

Currently in Classic Corrie Andy is a student and Curly went to college, Martin became a nurse.Ryan started something but then became a drug dealer, and Daniel has lost his academic mojo. All the professional types studied elsewhere. Like Dr Ali (please return....), Dr Gadass, Adam, Inram, Alya all appeared fully qualified.
Maybe Nina can go back and repeat a year in autumn?

PoloNeckKnickers · 13/05/2020 17:04

Didn't Adam cheat in his law exams or did I dream that?

eggandonion · 13/05/2020 17:17

I think he did, and he may have had a money/drugs thing at one point. Perhaps? I wonder will he have a baby with Sarah, and forget about it.

Poetryinaction · 13/05/2020 17:25

Oh gosh I find Nina very annoying. The way she walks.

nildesparandum · 13/05/2020 19:14

I was just talking to my granddaughter as we were watching Corrie together. The young people al seem to be doing well at school and talking about going to Oxford or doing a college course and qualifying in something, then all of a sudden they leave school, and work in the shop, the cafe the pub the bistro the knicker factory. Also the adults, Dr Ali working in the bistro, Brian was was a headteacher, then he was shelf filling in a supermarket before running what ever eating place he does now. I am in no way being negative abut these jobs but Eastenders is the same they all work in the street or the square and of course there is always plenty of jobs available.
I am not a Nina fan either. She is another actress who suddenly wanted a part in a soap so a role was created for her, by making her another long lost relative, and it went without saying she would be working in Roy's cafe.

PoloNeckKnickers · 13/05/2020 19:36

Oh look. Nurse Aggie has now taken over from Dr Ali as Wethy General's all round expert medic.

Honeyroar · 13/05/2020 19:42

Why would the whole extended family turn up at A&E!

Who is David about to get beaten up by?

WobblingMyWigglyBits · 13/05/2020 19:42

Nurse Aggie is the new Martin Platt, he practically ran the hospital and could pop to whatever ward he fancied

PoloNeckKnickers · 13/05/2020 19:43

And the doctor used to be a nurse in Casualty who had a fling with her brother

ChandlerIsTheBestFriend · 13/05/2020 19:49

What hospital has spare staff floating around that Aggie can come and introduce a doctor and stands hovering over her shoulder while she talks to parents? Grin

Since when has a doctor ever had a nurse introduce them?

noyoucannotcomein · 13/05/2020 19:51

@nildesparandum

I am not a Nina fan either. She is another actress who suddenly wanted a part in a soap so a role was created for her

How do you know this?

ChandlerIsTheBestFriend · 13/05/2020 19:54

Fucking hell Aggie! You can’t ring your hubby and tell him who has been admitted! Grin hope she gets sacked for that and they have to leave the street.
