It’s awful but we’re still watching it as I keep bawling at the bits with the sick kids and can’t pull myself together to decide on anything else.

Chosennone · 23/04/2020 21:11

David Tennant and Catherine Tate was the best so far. The 'times like these' was emotional. Great effort.

MarkingTimeIm59 · 23/04/2020 21:13

I just think it’s all a bit too soon to be making jokes about viruses, we’re still in the middle of this crisis. I found it a bit tasteless.
That’s not to say I’m against fundraising. My cash will be going to Captain Tom’s appeal.

TheDogsMother · 23/04/2020 21:13

He's on now

TheDogsMother · 23/04/2020 21:16

Agree about Sam Smith in the best of times. How dreary and miserable

Flymetothetoon · 23/04/2020 21:18

Well done Beeb - years old footage of Peter Kay interfaced with footage of fire fighters and NHS staff doing a funny dance.
Yep I'll do a clap for that ...,,,,,,,,

Figgygal · 23/04/2020 21:19

It’s the usual painful telethon

I’ve entered the David Walliams competition as 8yo ds was keen

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 23/04/2020 21:20

I'm only watching to perve on the inside of celeb houses

Inmyownlittlecorner · 23/04/2020 21:24

Loved Catherine Tate & Rome’s & thought Joe Wicks was quite funny.
Peter Kay was painful.

Inmyownlittlecorner · 23/04/2020 21:25

Romesh

The80sweregreat · 23/04/2020 21:27

It's been hit and miss but hearing Elgar now is making me a bit tearful.
Lauren was funny!

WellGoshDarnIt · 23/04/2020 21:28

Can someone tell me what that piece of music is called please? Loved it.

The80sweregreat · 23/04/2020 21:31

Nimrod by Elgar.

WellGoshDarnIt · 23/04/2020 21:32

Thank you!

The80sweregreat · 23/04/2020 21:36

They play it at the cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday usually

ineedaholidaynow · 23/04/2020 21:40

Nimrod always makes me cry

PyongyangKipperbang · 23/04/2020 21:42

Loving Jason Manfords "Bookshelves" :o

I love Nimrod too

EsmeeMerlin · 23/04/2020 21:47

I put it on for ds1 who wanted to see the Scouts and Bear Grylls on there. He is a beaver so did the hike to the moon and raised money but he fell asleep 10 minutes before Bear was on it so turned off after that.

I liked the Catherine and David sketch.

The80sweregreat · 23/04/2020 21:47

The bookshelf visual gag was funny.
I'm actually pleased to see so many books on shelves. During these unprecedented times it's nice to see humble books on a shelf ( or shelves)
One of them had vinyl too!

EggysMom · 23/04/2020 21:54

So hang on, the Peter Kay bit wasn't even new footage of him?

LIZS · 23/04/2020 21:56

Some was new. Never got LB and it does not age well.

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 23/04/2020 21:56

Oh that little Britain bit was good. I liked the homemade costumes especially

Flymetothetoon · 23/04/2020 21:57

Little Britain saved a shit show 👏

calpolatdawn · 23/04/2020 21:58

i dont think Peter Kay looked well bless him

PyongyangKipperbang · 23/04/2020 21:58

Yeah the costumes made me laugh, I think they were meant to be the overall gag tbh
