New thread.

Not having enough food to feed your child and refusing help to get it - should be automatic referral. I do judge - their pride is leaving the child hungry.Angry

Binglebong · 15/04/2020 14:19

To clarify: I don't judge not having enough money, I judge not accepting help.

TDogsInHats · 15/04/2020 17:30

I thought that your GP could provide you with a voucher or note so that the food bank would help you. It looked like Zara gave out a generic leaflet.

TDogsInHats · 15/04/2020 17:31

Thanks for the new thread fuzzy
I like the title.

Binglebong · 15/04/2020 20:44

Different food banks have different rules. Some need a referral and have a max number over a period (our local one is 3 in 6 months rolling). It could be Zara was showing the leaflet and about to do the referral when she got snapped at. Or it could be the writers didn't want to show boring paperwork!

Just wanted to say hi. I have been lurking on the Doctors threads for a while. Ive watched every episode since my maternity leave in 2007!!!! Shock.

ExpletiveDelighted · 15/04/2020 21:58

Wow Chicksy, that is an impressive achievement! Do you usually manage to watch live?

FuzzyPuffling · 15/04/2020 22:00

Blimey chicksy, that's impressive watching. Well done for delurking at last and welcome to the real fun!

Thanks Bingle I didn't realise about different approaches to food bank protocol. It jarred with me when Zara seemed to be prevaricating.

TDogsInHats · 16/04/2020 08:50

Fuzzy the apostrophe is now in the titleShock I am pleased that it was edited in, pedantic person that I am. Grin

Funster73 · 16/04/2020 10:49

I’ve been AWOL the last couple of day..It was my birthday on Tuesday so we celebrated by going absolutely nowhere!
Wasn’t such a bad day though to be fair.
I got a fitness watch thingy off my husband which will be a lot of use during the lockdown Confused

Thanks TDogs. I am a pedant myself, but unfortunately also a terrible typist. and won't be paying £5 a month for an edit facility

Happy Birthday for Tuesday Funster. Glad you had a decent day.

Happy birthday for Tuesday , Funster- is BearBear still in your window?

The dispensers are still not working then. Is this really the best storyline they could come up with.? And why do they work for Al?

ExpletiveDelighted · 16/04/2020 13:47

Al has the magic touch

FuzzyPuffling · 16/04/2020 13:48

This couple are going to be very annoying and entitled, I fear.

The Mill survived for years without a midwife. I didn't see a midwife at my gps surgery after I had my first- and that was 2002.

Doesn't apply to your eyebrows, does it?

Crash c-section for her then.

Raahh · 16/04/2020 13:50

Is Val now Ruhma's bessie mate, like Gobby suddenly became Jimmi's?

JessicaLangoustine · 16/04/2020 13:50

It's a skin colour issue. This is very common issue - these devices were designed to recognise white skin but not dark. The other dark skinned staff were having problems too.

ExpletiveDelighted · 16/04/2020 13:50

OOOPS!

Raahh · 16/04/2020 13:50

Oh dear. Emma.

FuzzyPuffling · 16/04/2020 13:51

Jessica I'm glad you said that. I wondered but didn't like to say.

OP posts:
Raahh · 16/04/2020 13:52

Jessica I wondered that. That will annoy Eeesh no end.
